  1. Looks like Dayton is going to fall at home to the Bonnies.
  2.   Not many teams play with a traditional 4...
  3.   I hope we see the same JBJ on offense and an improved JBJ on defense but I'm not holding my breath.
  4.   Completely agree with this, we should have solid scorers down low, on the wing, and at the guard spot.  I'm just not sure Davis will average double digit points and I'm completely okay with that.
  5.   They've been pushing the "double header" tonight.  puke @ A&M and the NBA game.  Someone mentioned it before but they're trying to push their prime time Saturday night NBA game (believe it's new this season).  If they pushed the IU game that could probably put a dent into their NBA game.
  6. He also stretches the floor.  Crean is good with spacing that creates driving lanes and open shooters.  If you play two bigs, without one stretching the floor, you go away from that spacing and clog up the lane leaving no lanes to drive.    Wasn't it coach Mack asking DD where he could find a guy like Hartman?  He's an all glue guy.  Give your frosh time to see the game and come in against a second unit.  I don't think we'll see Davis scoring like we think he should immediately either.
  7.   Haha, you had me laughing hard this morning.  Wouldn't it be crazy if the product we saw on the court was the result of the problems we solved on this forum?
  8. Interesting stat...   Team               FTA/GM         (Home)         (AWAY)    Difference pu                    20.7               24.5               15.3           +9.2 IU                    19.8                20.9               18.5           +2.4   I guess the "Hall of Calls" hasn't been living up to its billing.
  9.   It's possible but I think it takes dynamic bigs to accomplish that.  I don't see Crean going to that unless DD or TB can stretch the court.  If they can't it will mess up the spacing and IU will struggle to score.  I would much rather be able to space the floor and have a really solid back up 5 that can provide very little drop off if TB is in foul trouble.  I wouldn't count out JMor starting at the 4 either.  Like I said, we will have many options.  I don't want to see extreme small ball with 3 guards though.
  10. Not sure if I'm more nervous about the game or my picks.  That was brutal!
  11.   I think Hartman would do whatever is asked of him.  Yes, us as fans, have wanted a bigger lineup but we don't really decide the starting lineup.  I could see a ton of different options for a starting frontcourt next season, some include Hartman and another smaller stretch 4.  I could see OG getting the start 4 spot.  How many B1G teams start a more traditional 4?  It's been the way the game has been moving for years now.  If TB or DD are able to stretch the floor I could see them starting together.  If they can't I see DD coming off the bench.
  12.   I'm not so sure about that.  You don't have a senior Hartman who has started a lot this season and last?  I think you can pencil in RoJo to one of the starting spots as well.  Depending on how well JBJ does coming off his injury I can see him starting.  I'm not sold we will see Davis starting right away.
  13.   2013-2014 (T8th) 2014-2015 (T7th)   Yeah, that's what has me thinking.  No doubt 2 outright B1G championships would be spectacular, even with the unbalanced conference schedule but the down years shouldn't be that low.  I guess actually winning a second outright title needs to come first before there is more thought put into it.  It's nice to be in contention though.
  14.   I've been thinking about this recently.  How would I feel if he were to win a second outright B1G regular season championship in four years?  That hasn't been done for awhile but would put him in company with Izzo, Matta, and Bo (I think).
  15.   Looks like we were picked to finish 2nd by most.  Image from InsidetheHall.com
  16. The penguin looking dude
  17. ESPN on Minnesota's win over Maryland   "No Diamond Stone for the Terps, he was suspended for this one because of a shoving match against Wisconsin"   Huh?  I don't know why this gets at me as much as it does but it feels like everyone is just ignoring the details.
  18. ESPN just aired a 30 for 30 short Slick, Nancy, and the Telethon.  It's a really neat brief history lesson about Slick and Nancy helping to save the Pacers.  I'm sure you can find it on WatchESPN.
  19. I think the easiest path to victory isn't shying away from Hammons but to go right at him.  If he's going to park his butt in the paint take it right at him with a perimeter player breaking their man down and then making a pass to a cutting Troy or even to TB.  Hammons has been better about staying out of foul trouble but make the refs make the call and make him work.    On the other end we need to pack the lane, except Cline (sp?), and make them beat us from outside.  I would also pickup full court as they have been known to turn it over, especially on the road, and try to speed the game up.    GO HOOSIERS!!!  POTFB
  20.   I guess part of the blame can go to that crew too.  How in the world do you not look at that on replay and toss a Stone?  I'm not sure they would have won as they looked flat and Melo was tossing the ball all over the Barn.   Edit:  And yes, that was a classless act.  I know you can play the "what if" game all you want but Brown could have very easily sustained major injury.  What if Brown would have actually been knocked out cold and missed weeks under the concussion protocol?
  21. It's 7:11 pm HST and pu still sucks.  POTFB.
