  1. Jamal Meeks was in the same mold. Short and stocky. Helped us get to a final 4.
  2. But, for a very, very short time.
  3. "Al Durham with a little extra A1 Sauce on the pass to Morgan for the slam." or "A1 with a little extra sauce on the pass to Morgan for the slam."
  4. It probably means that he'll still entertain suitors.
  5. Should have ripped their banners down immediately.
  6. Vijay walking on for next season probably helps substantiate them.
  7. Oh it will for the "Where the hell are Archies recruits?" crowd. Holtmann hasn't had near as long as Archie etc etc etc
  8. I understand that, I just mean did he further elaborate? Did he elaborate to condone it, not mention it, abhor it?
  9. It's not hard to admire people for things you believe about them and without knowing what we now know. How did the rest of that part of the interview go?
  10. I'm talking the type involving allegations of groping women etc. The Connie Chung interview is disingenuous in the intent and was an off the record remark. In poor taste yes, but he actually didn't just say that to a reporter in an interview.
  11. Has there ever been an ounce of that type of impropriety leveled at Knight; and we get 4 in 1 night?
  12. No it's not. I hate the ToiletMakers, but I don't want their players injured.
  13. Sounds like he could be. Needs to lose about 25 lbs though
  14. PureDoo got their 1st 2018 commit today.
  15. Yeah, when we were #1 preseason and the movement hadn't quite made it to campus, but was the incoming class, it sure felt like it was awakening.
  16. Right! We can't have it both ways;1. Hand out offers like candy and take the 1st 3 star AND 2. Keep offers coveted and wait for the top players to decide. We've missed on what, 2? Were they even our top targets at their position? The quicker an '18 of quality decides, probably the less likely he'll pick Indiana, because often relationships take time. I'm sure Archie could get someone like Austin Bouche pretty quickly, if it'll make any of you guys feel better.
  17. I hope Vic has a break out season. He's been hovering right around 16 and hopefully the Pacers and an Indiana crowd will provide the catalyst.
  18. The Indiana Pacers have waived guard Monta Ellis, a league source confirmed. Teams have 48 hours to claim him and assume the final two seasons of his contract but that is unlikely to occur. That would leave Ellis as a free agent with the Pacers responsible for paying his $11.2 million salary this season. But by waiving him, his 2018-19 contract is no longer on the Pacers' salary cap for that season. Ellis, a 12-year veteran, didn't fit within the Pacers' rebuilding effort. Darren Collison and Victor Oladipo are expected to be the Pacers' starting backcourt with Lance Stephenson as the primary reserve, leaving Ellis with a significantly reduced role. He averaged 8.5 points and 3.2 assists in 27.0 minutes per game last season, starting 33 times. Last moth Ellis was suspended for 5 games for violation of the substance abuse policy. The NBA did not disclose details in accordance with league policy, but the five-game suspension indicates that Ellis tested positive a third time for marijuana use. No other violations in the NBA carry a suspension of that length. The unpaid suspension will cost Ellis $387,000, according to Bobby Marks of ESPN.com. The suspension would follow Ellis wherever he signs. Within minutes of Ellis’ suspension being announced, Pacers President Kevin Pritchard voiced his displeasure with the veteran’s actions through a statement released by the team. “Monta’s suspension is a very serious matter to our franchise and it will be dealt with accordingly,” Pritchard said. When Ellis signed a four-year deal with the Pacers in 2015, he was expected to be the guard who could help Paul George and George Hill ignite the franchise’s new up-tempo offense. Ellis did his best to bring veteran wisdom, leadership and stability as an additional ballhandler. But Ellis’ two seasons with the Pacers have been inconsistent because of injuries, turnovers and his questionable shot selection. Ellis, 31, struggled throughout last season to find the explosiveness and quickness that had made him a successful scorer throughout his career. After averaging 13.8 points and 4.7 assists in his first season with the team, Ellis' 8.5 points were his fewest since his rookie season. Call IndyStar reporter Nate Taylor at (317) 444-6484.
