It's too bad a handful of posters are so negative that it makes it hard to read through topics.  I'm not asking for rainbows and unicorns, but damn! 
I completely agree with criticism,  but speaking in absolutes, and only posting when things are not going well, is head scratching. 

I didn’t expect Portland State to be as good as they were, and while IU didn’t play great, it was a fun back and forth battle. Al and Justin continue to play very good basketball, and it was good to see TJD, Hunter, and Thompson be very good as well. Once that first 3 went down for Hunter, man you could tell that was a huge weight lifted off him and he gained a ton of confidence after that.

I continue to be underwhelmed by our true centers, but hope they are just getting their feet wet and will pick it up, same with Rob. We are playing good basketball and have a rusty point guard and missing our best shooter/scorer, so a lot still to gain!

Heck of a game and hats off to PSU, they have a good team!

I think there is a difference between “being in the hot seat” and firing Archie. Also think year three is getting awfully close to being past the window of fans having a “win now” mentality.  If Archie is going into his 4th season without making the tourney I do think his seat will be justifiably hot but don’t think that means he should be fired. In any case I agree that it will be a moot point (hopefully) as I think we will make the tourney.

Agree that recruiting is going in the right direction and that Garcia (who would be nice to get) is not a MUST HAVE that will determine the future of the program. It’s almost funny to think of how many Moses Abraham’s etc we absolutely had to have or the world as we know it was going to end.

I can’t place this anywhere but I think Jerome hunter is going to be a superstar! IMO. I see this coming.

I don't really care who starts. I can't wait to see who's on the floor in the last 4 or 5 minutes when the games on the line!

I love going through these threads and seeing the reactions of posters after an interview. The glass half empty posters will try to find any comment that puts IU in a negative light or the comment that the look s favorable to other schools. The glass half full people do the opposite.
I don't know where he is going. I hope he picks IU, but if he doesn't, life goes on.

It seems like the primary factor in Garcia's mind is a well-founded one: the people he'll be hanging out with. I have no idea as to the culture and dynamics at Marquette, but I know what we have going for us:
Phinisee TJD Brunk Leal Galloway Franklin Durham Race Damezi Smith Geronimo Hunter Those are without exception some smart, focused, likable future teammates. Therefore, I kinda like our chances.

For anyone interested, Tipton interview still hasn’t started. Tipton said Dawson text him and pushed it back to 7:20 because he was meeting with Indiana coaches. It’s now 7:30 and still hasn’t started. I’ll update after it happens.
