Unless one of the criteria is "we really like doing a coaching search every 4 years" then Brad Brownell is not a serious candidate.

If he got rid of Woodson just to hire Brownell then he'd deserve it.

Setting aside his age he'd never be considered because of his skeletons alone. Aside from being in his 70s I'd take him over his son 10/10 times; not to say I want the Pitino the elder, I don't give a crap about playing in the gray but his issues are beyond that and I really want no part of Pitino the younger.

You've also got Lloyd's buyout to factor in, the original contract was 12m. I wouldn't complain about that hire though.

It's IU. A coach can't just prove they're not good enough, they need time to make a complete mess of things. That's part of the process.

Recent history says there's a good chance. With a non zero chance we hire someone no other program would give the time of day to.

I'd just like to not be disappointed with the coaching hire, after the last 2 that should be a pretty low bar. I say that knowing Indiana's last 25 years says they'll just grab a shovel.

I'd certainly rather have McDermott than McCollum. IU has whiffed on too many hires to take that risk.

Here's the cliffsnotes version. DMV keeps trying to make Mark Turgeon a thing. It's not going to be happen. He successfully united the board, just not how he wanted.

A sheriff said there were no obvious signs of foul play. They'd been dead a while, maintenance workers found the door unlocked and opened and they were in different rooms. I read a search warrant said it's suspicious enough to require a thorough search and investigation.
