Setting aside his age he'd never be considered because of his skeletons alone. Aside from being in his 70s I'd take him over his son 10/10 times; not to say I want the Pitino the elder, I don't give a crap about playing in the gray but his issues are beyond that and I really want no part of Pitino the younger.
I'd just like to not be disappointed with the coaching hire, after the last 2 that should be a pretty low bar.
