  2. I appreciate that the Langfords are doing complete due diligence in all aspects of this decision. With that information, they will either pick IU, or he will show his value set. I have some belief that given that dynamic, Romeo will pick IU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  3. Moderator warning: Stop being a jerk This is an IU fan board You certainly are entitled to your point of view BUT... not at the cost of making the entire board and the entire thread an exercise in misery. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  11. Well in that case johnson:
  12. I'ma gonna get in before the post-Vandy visit articles: All - be prepared to read and hear about the Langford family's post-Vandy visit comments. These comments will include: "Loved the atmosphere." "Impressed by Coach Drew. He really cares about his players" "Coach Drew showed me how I would fit in with his offense. I can really see how that would be a great fit for my style." "Vandy has great players coming in next year. Can see how we could be a super-class." "The tour of the campus, academics, and facilities was first class." If I am already able to 'pre-quote' the post-visit interviews, you guys can be sure that they don't mean all that much; largely that: The Langford's will be gracious guests who will be treated very, very well. They could all be true or not; the player and his family will assess all of their options and try to make the best, most informed decision based on all factors. This visit will contribute to the information set needed to weigh those factors. Period. In other words, in advance: stop freaking out and jumping to rash conclusions! ;)

  16. U.S. District Court Judge Lewis A. Kaplan on Thursday denied a motion to dismiss federal criminal charges against three of the 10 men arrested for their alleged roles in the FBI's two-year investigation into college basketball corruption. Attorneys representing former Adidas executives James Gatto and Merl Code and former sports agent Christian Dawkins argued in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday morning that what their clients are accused of doing -- allegedly funneling money from Adidas to the families of high-profile recruits to ensure that the players signed with Adidas-sponsored schools, and then Adidas and certain sports agents and financial planners once they turned pro -- doesn't constitute a federal crime.
  17. Oh. I was putiing in terms of whether skipping the Vandy visit would make me happy, but... Anytime he announces for IU is a good time.
  18. Nope! I want him to see his choices, the game environment, the coaching style, the whole thing. Then, if he announces for Vandy I'll be more okay with it, and if he announces for IU I'll know that he was fully informed and because of that did the right thing. In other words; if we believe that he's legitimately trying to see which program has more going for it, the contrast should be striking and obvious.
  19. I would slightly differ: Rob Phinisee does not seem like a real "professional," He seems like a real student athlete, and a real Hoosier.
  20. Yes! By the way...have you ever seen Rob Phinsee interviewed? I'm hoping that IU gets a roster full of players that want to play with Rob. And, I'm hoping that Romeo sees that in Rob, and is one of them.
  21. Entirely possible (likely?) But if I'm USPS and I'm reading that response, I'm thinking "really?" So, if nothing else, trying to do some preemptive "modding" so that all can understand that sarcasm should be clear, so as not to piss on extremely valued posters who provide fantastic insight.
  22. 11 hours ago, Uspshoosier said: No they don’t. They got rid of looking at the last 10 games a long time ago. A win in February is the same as a win in November Geez bridges: USPS brings accurate, informative substance to the board and that makes you snarky? If that was tongue in cheek you should make that clear. Otherwise, not a fan of that post.
  23. A team can win when: The talent between the two teams is comparable The game is a sloppy mess, and Your team does not shoot it especially well IF the following things occur: Your team defends. That's it; the whole list! ^We are that team^
