I am not a fan of the list of people that have the say they do. I think football and basketball should have been included on top of the people listed. But I know this is a check and balance thing. This is to ensure the voices of those two programs aren’t louder than smaller programs. This has been a thing for 20 years at IU. Why piss on the two programs that generate 95% of the revenue and make it so those other 20 ish programs can exist just because a previous coach was thought to have too much power? Before anyone says anything about they are still in their seasons, be aware these coaches have meetings and teleconferences with various people in the University daily. They are more than able to assist. Modern priorities of IU towards the athletic office just disappoints me. We may stumble into success, but does anyone truly feel no matter who the next AD is he will have the say or clout to truly make the money making programs better? 12 pts, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. For what they do that’s not good enough with 4 fouls if they don’t have Haarms. Would have thought he would have rebounded better. Looking forward to Saturday. Edit: Ended up with 14 points, 4 boards, 3 assists, and 5 turnovers. Up and down. I see Butler going at him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I just turned on the game. How has Williams played in extended minutes? Did he stay out of foul trouble? I think that’s key for them going forward. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I could really see teams going at him offensively to get him in foul trouble. Especially if he is adding minutes. Those tired fouls are no joke and he has struggled to play long minutes at a high level. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

It’s ok. The fighting Joe’s are a team that is only for a select special few. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

IU 67 - ND 61. Always a tough time to predict. Finals week... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Chris mentioned it in the bowl thread. It sucks. But you can’t blame him. This is what people wanted. Us to be doing good enough for our assistants to get promotions. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

The only thing I would disagree on is missing on Holtmann. You can’t miss on someone that doesn’t want to be here. Beilein? I think we missed on him. I guess the Jurich thing too. No chance an IU admin hires someone like Jurich or gives him the power Jurich had at UL, and subsequently gave to Pitino/Petrino. So I would be willing to bet you will be frustrated for sure regardless. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I always figured it was a parody of Gradman (similar on GBI) or someone Gradman created to agree with himself randomly due to the reasons you state. But I was wrong. I assume Gradman knows who Reynolds is. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Compared to? Edit: But you did say he did a good job by saying he set the next AD up nicely. And here this whole time I thought you guys didn’t like Glass [emoji6]. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

“His legacy will be one of strong and competitive athletics programs and teams that play by the rules, a pervasive commitment to compliance and integrity, a commitment to excellent academic performance, record fund-raising and magnificent new or renovated facilities.” This is the statement from McRobbie. This is what I am talking about regularly when it comes to the things behind the scenes that is being pushed and why Glass is doing his job. It’s also why I have concerns no matter who is in the position. You can plainly see what he wants and what he is concerned about. There is no commitment to winning. This why for the last couple of years I have said in the Fire Glass thread be careful what you wish for. You got it. Here is what he is up against. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Yeah I think so as well. We won’t be a team that can get in with 17 wins, but depending who we beat we could get in with 19 wins. Especially this year. But we are in a good spot to do what we need to get in and see what kind of seed we get. Just have to do it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

What he was hired for he did. Athletic success has never been a main priority for McRobbie. Glass is a lawyer first and foremost with the ability to gain donors more than any AD. Most of the actions done by Glass have been with an eye towards marketing. Glass has always done what he was asked to do. I want an AD that will be given the opportunity to win in a landscape that is different than it was years ago. I want a modern AD. I am not sure I trust that will happen, but we will see. Will try and ask around at game Saturday, but nobody I ever sit with brought this up of a possibility recently. I have been to a few of the games lately and I think they would have heard if there were rumors. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Is there any feeling of confidence around town McRobbie can get this right? I am hopeful with a couple of the BOT, but McRobbie scares the hell out of me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

It’s what I would expect with who we have beaten. We can see where the B1G is. Conference is huge. Keep in mind this is a tool that is not final with seeding too. I doubt anyone would place Purdue higher than other teams with more wins. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
