Indiana incoming freshman Amanda Cahill continued to build on her impressive high school career as a senior, showing off her versatility.   The 6-2 forward from Clyde, Ohio averaged 20.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.2 steals per game in her senior season. She also shot 68 percent from the field and made 50 percent of her 3-point shots. She finished her prep career with over 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds.   Cahill led Clyde High School to a 24-2 record on its way to a sectional championship. Clyde only lost six games in the four seasons that Cahill played with the team, going 99-6 during that period to go along with two state final four appearances.   Cahill earned State Division 2 Player of the Year Award as a senior, the third season in a row receiving the honor. She was also the runner up for Ohio Ms. Basketball to go along with winning conference player of the year for her fourth consecutive season and district player of the year for a third straight time.   Cahill is in the top 35 among forwards by many recruiting services. Dan Olso n's Collegiate Girls Basketball Report ranks her as the No. 26 forward in the country and Prospects Nation has her as the 35th best forward nationally. The Ohio Girls Basketball Report ranks her in the top eight recruits in Ohio.   During high school, Cahill also had a stellar career on the tennis court. As a senior, she made it to the Elite Eight of the state championship tournament in doubles and fell to the eventual state champions. She was named Second Team All-Ohio in 2014. Cahill was also a first team all-league honoree three times in her career. She compiled an overall record of 34-2 in her final year, including a 9-0 mark in singles play.    http://www.iuhoosiers.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/061814aaa.html
  17. Tyra Buss of Mt. Carmel, Ill., is one of four signees for the 2014 freshman class for Indiana women's basketball, put on another record-breaking season in her senior year.   The two-time Illinois Ms. Basketball winner had a career that was filled with records, victories and awards. In her senior season, Buss broke the single-season Illinois state scoring record with 1,466 points, a record that was already held by her after she initially broke the record her junior season.   While averaging 45.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 6.7 steals per game, Buss led Mt. Carmel High School to its fourth straight regional title as a senior. She also shot 65 percent from 2-point range, 39 percent from three-point range and 85 percent from the free throw line. Her senior season included multiple awards as well, including Parade High School All-America Team, Third Team ALL-USA Girls Basketball Team, Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year, First-Team All-State and Wendy's High School Heisman Award Winner in Illinois.   She holds multiple career state records, including points scored with 4,897, scoring average with 38 points per game, free throws made with 1,185 and field goals made with 1,644. She also holds the Mt. Carmel High School record for most points scored in a game with 66 points against Princeton High School.   Buss was a multiple sport athlete during high school, also competing in tennis, track and cross country. Her career regular season and IHSA Sectional singles match record was 89-0, and she was also named the Southern Illinois Player of the Year in all four years. Her track career includes State Finals appearances in the 800m run, 300m low hurdles, 100m high hurdles, the 800m relay and the 1600m relay. She holds eight Mt.
