Remember it is early. Let's just say Pete and April should room together cause they have a lot in common! Hanner has come back with a vengeance ...look for big things from him....more later :) In the gym
When you say "more later", could that please mean as soon as possible? or once you are out of the gym at least? Perea's success next year will really be one of the biggest impacts on how our win-loss looks at the end of the year. he has got to give the opposing defense some pressure in the post. not only to score.. but to rebound and to let JB2, ROJO, and Yogi get some open 3s. we could have a very dangerous team if Hanner can truly be great.
Through a former IU player ..he said. "Cody said he didn't feel like he improved during his second year, due to the lack of training in his position , (in some ways I believe he and Noah feel the same) On another note, one of the coaches said "CC was ruining Cody". It is not odd that he came back because this is IU .. They totally had the players to win and he knew it. It was not about Cody ..he wanted the bigger picture. They felt a year to mature would be the difference. These are big decisions and once you are here it is really hard to say oops this is not for me, nobody will get it if you say that...especially the beloved Mr Basketball's picking IU. Jordan would have never left but I know he will tell you his HS coach had the X's and O's down to a science, but I don't think he would say that in college. IMO, I think they all felt the more good players the better we will be.. But they struggled. Now with kids who don't bleed IU ...it is getting difficult, they don't like it and they leave. At this point that is all I can say. You can take it for what it's worth... I want success just as much as anyone here. I hope things change for the better and we become everything they say we can't . I will be on the sidelines every game in my cream and crimson.. Btw I am pretty sure I have never said anyone hates Crean because that is not the case, and I rarely use that word. Most really like Crean the man, just disagree with Crean the coach. In the gym
Crean ruined Cody? Look back at where Cody was ranked and projected as. Cody, while a good prospect, was not projected as a top 5 pick in draft out of college. He thrived in Creans offense and his ability to get on break, which Crean allowed him to do, is the reason he was a top 5 pick. Crean would have been ruining him if he sat him down low and never allowed his versatility to show. That didn't happen. Sorry just not going to believe your generalities. I've seen your twitter account (before you changed the name/when it matched what your handle was here) and to say you have an agenda is almost selling it short. Based on what you've posted there it is clear you just don't like the current regime and are trying to prove your point by acting as an insider in a message board. People can believe you and keep posting whatever you want. I'm just not buying it and I encourage others to take everything you say with a giant grain of salt. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners

NBA Draft: Noah Vonleh
Walking Boot of Doom replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I have no agenda...I am not sure what there is to gain from a message board. I am not on any other and haven't really looked around. I am a professional. You can take the info like it or not. I felt a passion when I landed here and I thought people would like to know some of the "stuff" that is getting in the way of winning. I felt the same frustration. I live here. There is a lot that goes on behind closed doors. Remember, CTC could sell umbrellas in a drought. It is a complicated situation that can't begin to be explained in a few paragraphs. But if you can take the pieces good and bad you will finish the puzzle by the end if next year. You should have a better picture. There are many who feel glad to get the chance to play for IU and Coach Crean, and happily move on, and/or never say anything. My point is when you have the ability and all the pieces ..you realize there is something wrong when you don't get the job done. (Not just once but a few times.) Unfortunately, not many of the players buy the umbrellas .. If you get my drift. In the gym
I believe all he is requesting is that instead of saying "there are many who hate Crean" or "even Cody was unhappy", it'd be appreciated if you stated specifics. Cody being unhappy at IU seems very odd to me as he chose to come back his sophomore year even when he was being projected as a lottery pick after his freshman year.
Although never spoken to the media, I have to say Cody, Jordan and obviously those who have left felt the similar and I hate it that Noah is getting a bad rap because he's just not that kind of guy, just misspoke at wrong time to the wrong people. In the gym
Felt similar in what way? Crean led those guys on a really good two year run. Don't really follow you and think you're being unfair to them and the discourse on Crean by now just making blanket statements that they weren't happy. You're an "insider" so people take your word as the truth. I am sure you have an agenda and your goal is to make it seem like everyone who has ever played for Crean is unhappy. I'm personally unconvinced by your blanket statements. Regardless, the point with Vonleh is every statement he's made publicly since leaving for the draft has shown his immaturity. He is going to be a pro now and the NBA will eat him alive unless he matures now. I wish him the best and don't take this as bashing Vonleh but this is part of going pro. The things you get away with in college because you're "immature" or "naive" won't fly. This goes for a guy entering NBA as much as any of us who graduated and got a real job. If you're not mature enough personally you will be eaten alive. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Thoughts on Donald Sterling's Lifetime NBA Ban?
Walking Boot of Doom replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in National Basketball Association
First Sterling is 80 ..he will never enjoy the billions. If he is that racist ..he really doesn't care. This is like a funeral...the decisions made are for those who are living with racism and putting it to death, and supporting the majority of the NBA who were offended. Mark Cuban stated he (Sterling ) should not be made to sell, opens all kinds of new problems for people like him. In the gym
He also stated he supported the decision. He's in a unique position though: against racism, for owner rights. Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet. -
IMO I feel like Will tried to lead and basically got looked at as you are part of the last class that left and we are the movement. It is hard when you try to lead if they don't follow or you are not backed by the coach. This year was a constant struggle for Will and the immaturity as CTC says that existed on and off the court. I am sure if you look at the events as they have played out you can see from his shoes now. The other transfers felt the same, so time to move on. I don't think the intent was as bad as it sounds .. But I am sure there is not much love loss at this point either. In the gym
I can understand how Will feels that way, not a good way for me to see his career ending at IU. He should of at least seen another sweet 16. I hope he believes as I do, once a Hoosier always a Hoosier. Sent from my Venue 8 3830 using BtownBanners mobile app
