If the rumor mill is true that Will Wade wants IU and IU is not responding in kind to me this only serves to suggest this is a big time hire . I’m more than willing to accept/realize it’s not Stevens. No idea who the “Mystery guy” might be i just can’t buy myself to believe the hire is Brownell or McCollum if Will Wade is out there , has reached out with interest and IU said no thanks . This is exhausting

McCollum to Iowa makes a lot of sense (DeVries I think is gonna get a nice fat raise to stay in Morgantown ) If Scott truly doesn't have "his guy" then he has gotta go make Wade a strong a** offer man you can't let this slip away and we can out spend NC State easily. We are seriously getting into a realm of a possibility where I'm not shocked / think and smarter move might be of Dolson sitting down with Woodson about coming back. I mean I wasn't a fan of McCollum per say but you start getting down into the J. Calhoun tier? I mean that dude won the the Horizon league like once in 7 years at YSU and never made a tourney. Hell if thats where we are at might as well (heres a name for ya) hire Ron Hunter at least we know he'll recruit the Sh** out if Indy ! my goodness

Take it for what its worth, Rabjohns made a little comment about Bozich's tweet and how it was the "same order" as Hot Board 1-2 ........... he's mentioned how much he likes/ respects Bozich when he wrote is first article on the coaching search. I know Bozich is pretty plugged in but maybe a chance Rabjohns was his source ? Seeing it that way helps me calm down a bit.

And to top it all off its not like Brownell can even bring some of this pretty good Clemson team with him. All of his top 4 in scoring are seniors who all average double figures UGH I just can't believe Dolson would truly seriously consider this guy.

No way these guys aren’t with their teams / coaches 24 hours a day 7 days to week to the point to where they can’t take a phone call with a guy who might want to potential pay them millions of dollars more than what they are currently making .

Man IUFB insider poster got the peegesters all going last night the Rabjohns only could in his wildest of dreams . - he said he’s not ready to completely discount Stevens but even people on IUs end think it’s crazy . - says McCollum is definitely a candidate but far from a done deal and Iowa potentially opening os something he wouldn’t bet on McCollum being the next coach - said Gun to his head there are a handful of Big 12 coaches he would bet IUs next coach comes from there . - interesting

I’m a basketball fan , don’t claim to know “ball” not the case when it comes to football . Agreed it’s a terrible take . The amount of talent that returns off last years roster is almost unheard of in todays college football . Not to mention the additions (arguably better QB, RB , and couple of OL) and the retention of staff as well . 9-3 minimum

I’ll admit a decent portion of my concern about McCollum comes from what we went through with Archie , if the McCollum fan boys admit they have rose colored glasses because of Cig . In reality he’s not Archie , but he’s not Cig either . the Archie comparison is apples to oranges , but the Cig comparison is apples to spinach this is an insanely risky hire . Unique offensive systems make me nervous in a conference like the Big Ten . again I also stand by he doesn’t get 4 years . He gets 2 MAYBE 3 years to win over 20 games .

To me weighing his options means waiting to see if Iowa is open and there is mutual interest. Im betting he sees that as a better fit for him just my opinion. If that’s the case Dolson needs to pivot to Will Wade as quickly as possible (personally I think he should anyway) . And get this thing wrapped up before the start of the tourney . if McCollum hasn’t said he’s 100 percent coming when the season is over by now than Iowa opening only complicates everything . Dolson needs to move on fast if that’s the case

Turned the game off after my prep. I have 8th graders more focused learning about the water cycle on a 72 degree March day than Indiana had with its basketball players during a win and in March conference tournament in Indianapolis.
