Cabin fever will be at its peak both today and tomorrow (at least we have the game as a distraction for better or worse!) im guessing Thursday or Friday will be big days . Most likely will get something from the Insiders as Saturday and Sunday get closer . Either them pumping up the announcement , or they are now “delaying the announcement” due to IUs recent success and possible tournament berth , or will tell us the “reasoning of how it has now fallen apart” and IU is moving on .

His sources are agents so what else can he say besides the agents are floating there guys names ( because they wants raises and more NIL cash ) clear he and his little cronie Eric are anxious because they have no more sources inside the actual IU athletic department.

Unfortunately for IU fans . Jeff and Brad are I guess pretty familiar/ have a good relationship with one and other . Jeff got to know Brad going back to his Butler assistant days . And Goodman is also from the New England area he got to ask the question that lead to the mass hole quote in 2021 on zoom that’s why people take Jeff’s word for it . Brads been out of college hoops a while and no other college hoops reporter has a closer relationship with Stevens . according to Rabjohns take it with a grain of salt of course he heard from “NBA guys” whatever that means . So not sure how close to Brad . That IU should focus its attention elsewhere. But again pretty vague and ambiguous stuff that’s why I’m willing to remain intrigued.

THIS , it’s what I keep coming back to . Look at last year . Both Rabjohns and Trilly said that if IU moves from Woodson Pearl was all but a done deal he would take the IU job and it would be quick and easy . Pearl was still in the middle of a very successful season Auburn .

I don’t follow the NBA enough I guess . Also feel like Bill Belichek going UNC was a bigger deal than if Stevens comes to IU (Stevens never won a championship and has coach in college before) . Man I'm really starting to think homeboy just reads message boards and post off the vibes he gets to pass them off as insider info to generate interactions. Beard and Stevens are the top 2 guys to talk about in terms of that. If he would have said California or Iowa (Mick or McDermott) wouldn't get near the attention. I'd be happy to be wrong.

Year 1 took final four UCLA to the wire in the round of 32 . flipped generational in state talent Eric Gordon was a stellar 22-4 (despite the fact that supposedly every player besides Gordon and White were on drugs) . When he was fired . Whipped Purdue. Everything you could want in a ball coach ! Haha all other violations are now legal . Probably less controversial of a hire than Beard lol SD had an Ace up his sleeve this whole time boys !

Maybe his brings Lewis down from Muncie? Top assistant. IU guy can definitely help recruit the state he hasn’t been exactly killing it a Ball State as the HC .

I put McDermott and Collins in their own tier , I wouldn’t be thrilled and talking smack to my Purdue buddies BUT I’d be intrigued to see how it plays out . obviously both would be massive coaching upgrades to our previous 2 head coach’s BUT they clearly fall short of a Stevens , Dusty , Drew grand slam of a hire . But I could see it going well . Collins in particular I think would recruit the state well . He’s already nabbed more than a few under the radar recruits from the state (the kid from Greensburg can’t remember his name , Barnhizer , KJ Windham ) . if you won’t touch Beard and Cronin says no . If you get passed those 2 as well . Then anyone else who’s been brought up (Brownell, McCollum and so on ) then I’m not sure if Dolson is a religious man BUT you might wanna start praying sir !

I think him and his little Igor like cronie Eric (pun intended he loves Mick ) have lost their meaningful sources / contacts in and around the athletic department. if you read all Rabjohns updates it’s clear he gets all his info from agents . Of course they are going to push their candidates names and help them get paid. That’s why I think Brownell keeps getting brought up . just went to an elite 8 , completing for the ACC title . His “Home state school” is open I think they are trying to get a fat pay day out of Clemson . Up his buyout big time so he’s off the perennial hot seat .
