  1. You can just do hack-a-Shaq against us down the stretch except it’s the whole team!
  2. Letting things fall apart with fouls and missed FTs
  3. Yeah, only matter of time before TKR started making his FTs.
  4. CANNOT let Braden Smith get hot this last 4.5 minutes. And obviously can’t miss layups.
  5. TKR’s poor FT shooting saving us a bit. Let’s not squander it.
  6. That foul and media timeout came at the right time
  7. Also, we started fouling at a really high clip towards the end of that half
  8. Especially on these extra possessions from Purdue turnovers. It would be nice we just took some easy twos on those rather than deep 3’s
  9. You start having success and the top recruits get interested quick:
  10. I hope this is a big game for Trent to get back on track. Not a dig a Sisley...he's a freshman and can be expected to hit a rough/low point in a season but he should be amped for this game and if his shot is working could really help with spacing and opening things up by drawing out TKR/Cluff/Meyer
  11. Not really about DDV, but just on the subject of head coaches... I know many are not fans of Field of 68 or Goodman, but an interesting thing they've been doing is surveying coaches in different conferences to rank head coaching jobs. Here's how B1G coaches rank programs in the conference in terms of desirability for a HC: For those curious here are some other power conferences (don't think they've done the SEC yet): I feel Josh Schertz will be super well sought after, but I just don't think the coaching jobs that are likely to be open this year are all that desirable (Pitt, Syracuse, Providence, KState, ASU, and a few others in this tier, and other A10 jobs like URI and Dayton). UNC would be interesting for him, but I feel Hubert Davis will keep doing just well enough to be impossible to fire but clearly continue a really really slow and prolonged decline.
  12. Honestly, two of Louisville’s best wins in the Pat Kelsey era are neutral site games against Indiana — last year in the Bahamas and this year in Indy. Outside of those two games, they haven’t done much (also beat DDV’s WVU team in the Bahamas and had an early home win against UK). Kelsey is 0-4 against Duke, the only elite team in the ACC over that stretch, and none of the games have been competitive. We really should have been able to go at least 1-1 against Lville & UK this year. Relatedly, OSU is already considered on the right side of the bubble despite them not looking all that great (close win against PSU last night) but they’re 4-6 in quads 1 & 2 with away wins at Northwestern and Oregon and a neutral site win against WVU (and a home win against UCLA) whereas IU stands at 1-7. IU should have more winnable quad 1 and 2 games coming up as the B1G schedule did no favors, but still.
  13. Wonder if Khamenia enters the portal after the season and he’s a target for DDV. He was a top recruit, but supposedly (Duke board rumors) his parents weren’t enthused of him picking Duke because they knew he would be coming off the bench. Given the recruiting class coming in for Scheyer, he might still be limited in minutes if he stays.
  14. They’re a really fun watch, granted they’re playing a terrible team
  15. With info I could find, here’s approximately what might be roster spend for KP top 30 teams: Rank School AdjEM Est Cost ($M) 1 Michigan +36.09 10.0 2 Arizona +34.03 13.0 3 Duke +33.20 15.0 4 Houston +31.36 8.0 5 Iowa State +31.08 6.0 6 Gonzaga +31.01 5.0 7 Purdue +30.91 7.0 8 Illinois +30.52 7.5 9 Michigan State +30.14 7.0 10 Florida +29.92 8.0 11 Connecticut +28.79 8.0 12 Nebraska +27.03 5.5 13 Virginia +26.99 6.0 14 BYU +26.67 12.0 15 Louisville +26.23 10.0 16 Vanderbilt +26.14 6.5 17 Alabama +25.35 7.0 18 Kansas +25.33 9.0 19 Texas Tech +25.27 10.0 20 Iowa +24.45 5.0 21 Arkansas +24.29 10.0 22 St. John’s +24.09 10.0 23 Tennessee +23.59 8.0 24 Kentucky +21.75 22.0 25 Georgia +21.47 6.0 26 Villanova +21.27 7.5 27 NC State +21.07 6.5 28 Clemson +21.01 6.5 29 Saint Louis +20.46 4.5 30 Auburn +20.41 8.0 37 Indiana +18.40 10.0 And from The Athletic, here’s estimated average roster cost by conference: If we think IU’s was around 10-12, then it’s not the largest budget by any means but solidly above average across all conferences, noting the SEC figure is heavily skewed by UK.
  16. Revealed preferences suggests IU was not May’s dream job
  17. BW did well at VT and A&M. Who knows what's happened in year 1 at Maryland but he has put together the #4 recruiting class for 2026. But, in general, my point and what I think @AH1971 was saying is that the tier of coach we would get is Brad Brownell, not Roy Williams
