I only know it from IT AD perspective but main staffing was done at beginning of season - 2 things you assume so as not to get caught with your pants down. 1) you are going to NCAAs 2) Women are hosting games in tournament. Much easier to give people days off if those don't happen, then find people to work over spring break at last minute

Not the norm - for that type of staffing you would have been notified months before - not a week and half.

Chris have you heard of message being sent around to IU alumni associate and mid level at AD to be around for spring break if possible? Heard it from a buddy but he's in UITS so not the comfy with it source wise.

Exactly - even if SD feels it's +90% with whatever candidate - he'll have some strong candidates in waiting so the Woodson madness doesn't happen again (Board swooping in with their own hire). Until everything is signed and you have the press conference - you keep working the job.

There would definitely be some challenges but got to say I wouldn't be mad at this hire - again I'd have some concerns but more I read about/watch this guy the more I'm ok with taking the chance:

I get what you are saying but watch the primary action of drake. It's usually solid but lacks the athletes to get the shot they want. The awesome part? Their secondary and tertiary action is as solid as their primary. CW doesn’t seem to have a plan when the first action falls apart. It's gotten better this last couple weeks but it's never been great imho.

Goodman doesn’t give a crap about softening the blow and his sources aren't on the IU side (he's said it's agents and other coaches (not IU) on his podcast). He wants the most clicks possible- more polarizing the info the better. I'm sure he heard those things but not from IU or someone in the know from our side.

He absolutely has sources but he also loves to get clicks and attention. His hyperbole is what is so annoying. Miller was the best hire of the century, before Woodson we threw everything at Holtman, IU has a great chance at TJ and should go all in (pod cast), etc... so many over the top 'predictions ' make me question his interpretation of that information....

She's had a ton of criticism from the staff/profs - not one of my buddies want her to stick around and some of those are pretty darn conservative (for Bloomington). She's a Quinn buddy - part of the reason we did not get Dusty May is because she strongly backed QB on keeping Woodson - remember that and how pissed off we all rightly were/are? Call my buddies soy boys or whatever (funny cause 1 of them trains UFC guys in BJJ - I wouldn't call him that) but it's a fact that they are looking for anything and everything to get her out of office - see plagiarism stories that just don't die if you want an example. Whitten is a political animal - she's not stupid - honestly I'll be surprised if this isn't shut down immediately at the first sign of blow back. (Don't shoot the messenger but as someone who went to IU and has lived in Bloomington for 30+ years (still does) - this town is about to explode politically - whether you agree with the reasons or not the climate is not good for a controversial hire) C'mon BS rumors!!!!

Half the staff already really dislikes Whitten - she's gotta think this isn't a battle worth fighting IMHO. Meaning I'm calling Baloney (on the refs) on Strip and Lily having 4 each - total the 2 played 30 minutes (and probably subtract 5 from that cause Strip played with 4 for a good 5 minutes) so the ref gave them 4 fouls each for 15 minutes each. Saying it felt very lopsided first 3 quarters (4 quarter it leaned our way imho)

8 fouls in 30 mins - if it was against UCLA Betts? That I could see but Oregons frontline? Not buying we had 8 fouls in that time

I'd agree - we will get more calls for the above reasons but I would say the above is more about guards - not 8 fouls on our 2 bigs - there was a number of just bad calls imho

Oddly IUFB isn't the only one mentioning BS on the other board. I won't do it... I won't be hurt again... I feel like me and Brad have an abusive relationship, he's a giant tease and I just keep believing there could be more.
