  1. It was a typo. I was just responding to your interesting CV.
  2. Lol. It wasn’t debunked, though I distinctly remember debunking the notion that we were hiring Stevens.
  3. So, we’re going to put two basketball alums into the hot seat as a committee solution?
  4. Never claimed I did but I do have insight into the University and Athletic Department.
  5. Yes, and thanks for sharing your relatively short term fandom. What sport did you play?
  6. I’m not missing the point but I definitely am not convinced we have our “Diebler” at the ready. Since you seemingly are, who should we retain as the interim coach?
  7. No offense was intended to you, Patsy. You opened the door. Not sure when you attended or what sport you played, but good for you. I grew up in an IU family, had family who attended and worked for the University (undergraduate and graduate school), attended and graduated, and have gone to sporting events prior to most posters here being alive (the IUF was in the Union when I first came on the scene, I attended games in the New Fieldhouse, we parked under the stadium and ate lunch under there before football games, and I attended Little 500 in the 10th Street Stadium). Been around it my entire life.
  8. Nothing biased in that post. I was “simply” an IU fan before I ever attended the University as a student. Many others can say the same about themselves. Nothing biased about that reality.
  9. No, if that happens, it would be entirely “on” that deranged fan, who would be solely responsible for their actions.
  10. I agree, it’s about hiring the right person, and that happens with good leadership. Bob Knight loved fan support but was disdainful when they acted as though they understood anything about what it actually took to run a program and consistently win at an elite level.
  11. That’s different. You’d be lying if you said that.
  12. Sorry, you jumped into the middle of another poster’s comment. Did you attend IU?
  13. I’m not asking for your name or any personal information - I just wondered if and / or when you attended IU. You’ve answered, so that’s fine.
  14. No, I was just curious since you made it a point to mention your alumni and athletic competition and coaching status, presumably to explicitly define your credibility. If you’re not willing to share, that’s fine. Just say so.
  15. Yeah, this one really made me laugh.
  16. I can understand why so many people are infuriated by the current status of the program, but the implication from several posters is that violence could result if IU doesn’t terminate Woodson, and that’s disturbing on several levels, to say the least. Perhaps it’s just modern day fandom, but I’ve never associated it with our fans previously.
  17. Did you attend IU? I’m just curious as to when your “fandom” began, as well as your experiences in support of the program. Wasn’t sure if that began before you arrived on campus or if you simply grew up as an IU fan and have supported them in that way. I think you gave me your answer buy I wasn’t asking in an effort to “dox” you. We’re just discussing the basketball program on an Internet forum, not solving the problems of the world, so no ill-intent exists.
  18. I think we’ll move on him when the season ends, which is what I said.
  19. Okay, you convinced me! Thank goodness for reasoned, level-headed fans like you!
  20. When were you a student - athlete at IU? Genuinely interested in this.
  21. No, you’re talking to someone who sees you moving the goalposts. I get the visceral responses from you, so vent to your heart’s content. We’ll see what happens.
  22. You’re making my point for me - this is all EMOTION. I get that, since I hate the losing, too. It’s just not, in my opinion, a great way to make decisions, though I realize many disagree.
  23. Ah, now it doesn’t matter, even though the fundamentals of it are as relevant today as they were 50+ years ago.
  24. I’ve followed it closely - No one has made a compelling argument, just emotionally driven ones.
