  1. He was tweeting about the Yale kid and then it was posted we weren’t into consideration then they were deleted. Just a clown.
  2. Thank you for this. Just got back and commented as well. They have been top 20 in attempts and makes and percentage before.
  3. Don’t just look at this year. Fran has been top 20 when he has the personnel. The year before they were top 100. He just had Sandfort and Dix shooting them this year and with a lower volume than normal.
  4. I would have lost it. Keatts has been disappointing. His offense has very little movement.
  5. They weren’t even going to make the tourney if it wasn’t for a missed FT by Duke and a Hail Mary three. They have made a nice run here but they underperformed all season and had to make the tourney to get in. Keatts was going to be fired if it was not for this run. He has been below .500 in the ACC and finished 8th or worse in four out of seven seasons.
  6. He was paired with two kids that shot over 10 3s per game and combined shot 37% from 3. His lack of shooting was nice to be paired with 2 3 pt shooters and a good big. If I was him I would be thinking of who I am playing with making a choice. He had a pretty decent amount of talent around him outside and in that allowed him to drive and dish.
  7. Stated also that it wasn’t his job to get Kopp shots. Watching UCONN and Purdue run action/screens off the ball for their shooters and then rethinking our offense makes me want to punch things.
  8. They had two capable 3 pt shooters and still shot 2-3 percent higher than us. We had one in Ware who averaged one 3 a game. There two best three point shooters averaged 10 3s a game while ours averaged 2 3s. His shots will be more difficult with what we have compared to what he has had in the past. Perkins isn’t a high volume three point shooter at 2 per game. You can’t put five guys on the floor who can’t shoot the three. It’s a recipe for a disaster offensively.
  9. Dude if I had a kid that was D1 level talent and lived in Indiana and Painter and Woodson were the only two offers. I would tell my kid he would be an idiot if he took the Woodson offer. It has literally come down to that we are not the best basketball program in the state anymore. Can be fixed but there needs to be a want to.
  10. Hey I am in the same boat. Watching Purdue win with the way that Knight did should be infuriating IU fans. I want Purdue to win to show IU admins and donors how far we have fallen.
  11. The thing that Painter had to learn early was not to chase the stars. He started to learn to identify kids that fit his system and that is where he thrived. He doesn’t care about the stars. He gets the kids and then develops. Not many transfers etc. He does everything the right way.
  12. He has had different type of players at center: Landry…..used him as his center and not 7’0”. Great big for Painter. JJ was a skinny kid that was completely different than Edey. During those years he was a Hummel injury from another chance at a NC. Then he played Hummel as his center the next year. Still made the tourney. AJ Hammons….took him awhile to develop him but turned out pretty good Swanigan wasn’t a 7 footer that he got to lose weight and more mobile. He was at his best under Painter. Look what happened to him after he left Painter. Haas - 7 footer. Underrated recruit that he turned into a great player. Haarms was not bad but a 7 footer Williams wasn’t a 7 footer that was pretty good Last was Edey and a 7 footer. If you look at his system only three were back to the basket 7 footers. JJ wasn’t that. He was too skinny and a good shooter. He changes his system to fit his personnel. Always motion just different calls and sets.
  13. Do you not see all the movement off the ball that happens? Do not see how they integrate all the pieces? Painters motion offense is a thing of beauty and will change again next year to fit his pieces. Best coach in the Bog Ten hands down.
  14. Watching Purdue play this year is a thing of beauty. Sucks to be an IU fan. Talent but don’t do a thing with it.
  15. Doesn’t put in the work is on D. He doesn’t. May be worse than his brother which is saying something.
  16. So he had two good games against 11th and 12th place teams in the Big 12. Not going to count Appalachian State. My bad. Still doesnt belong at this level. This is like Evan Gordon coming to play for Indiana. Horrible decision and unlike Evan he cant guard a chair. Just like his brother. Dumb and doesn’t put in the work.
  17. Look at his stats against high major and tourney teams even at the NIT level. It’s crappy except for one game. Overall 30% overall and 30% from 3 this year.
  18. Woohoo another 10+ loss season. Let’s cheer on the mediocre IU basketball team.
  19. We can’t pull him away if he is successful. Louisville will pay money for a good coach.
  20. He is a diva. Some coaches can calm it down and some can’t. I don’t trust Woodson to calm it down. See X.
  21. Sisley will commit if one of the rumors is true. He will be in our backyard a lot.
  22. He is good for that level but once he goes out of it I see at best a backup. But then is the lack of defense worth the offense that he could potentially generate. I say no.
  23. It was bad. I was like people want this dude. Checked his stats to see who they played after that and was like he didn’t have a success against the higher level teams he played against.
  24. Did you watch that UCONN game? No hustle no trying. Man got by him with ease. Offensively against tournament teams and NIT teams this season he shot 35%, 30% and 24%. I don’t know….i just don’t see a high level shooting guard that will make an impactful difference.
  25. It’s a pass for me. He plays defense like his brother and doesn’t get the separation he will need at this level.
