Thanks, The last I saw was that Wilkerson was going to visit here and then commit after the visit. With the two predictions it looked like it was pretty much done. It is concerning that he is going to take other visits. I wonder if IU is being used for our top NIL budget. I wonder if they take our offers and take it to the schools they like better. -

We have 9 roster spots to fill so we need depth every where. Not everyone coming in will be a starter so we need good backups as well. -

We have 4 players on our roster so I wouldn't say we are stacked anywhere. -

He was talking about Stemler being an assistant coach in high school not a player -

Even if IU hadn't fired Sampson the NCAA gave him a 5 year show cause so it would make it almost impossible for him to remain as the coach. Even if he stayed there would have been so many limitations on him it would made it to hard to compete As for the players he did have some good character players but the bad ones were more prevelent. We had drug dealers and we had guys with major temper problems. We had a recruit get arrested and sent to prison for drugs and other things. It is great that players changed their lives but at the time they represented the University they disgraced it. As for other coaches I felt they were to lenient on the players and should have kicked off those players who got in trouble with the law. -

Maybe they are waiting for Woodson to get another job and follow him -

I saw the top 20 list and it has Minnesota as 16 so I don't know how that is possible
-
Buzz Williams is just a strange guy who wants to leave every 6 or so years.
-
That is a good thing because everyone wants to be the first to report these transactions. That is why I wish some of the guys on here wouldn't come on here and report things like they are a done deal. It just gets the fan base excited and when it doesn't happen then they get frustrated. Nothing is a fine deal until it is signed and announced. Heck there are times the contract has been signed and announced and something happens to change things.
-
As for Devries it was a huge step up from a power power conference team. I said the only power conference coaches that we could get is like Brownell who is at a lower power conference program. Adams huge step up and probably money Buzz Williams on known to leave every 6 years and that is his philosophy on coaching. He wants to get out before they run you out. Sean Miller same as Devries For the most part what I was saying is that coaches don't make lateral moves and we weren't getting the elite power conference coaches.
-
Funny you never gave a legitimate reason for them to leave to come here
-
Just a question why would the TT assistant leave right now. They just made the EE and should have been the final four.
-
Again the big fish aren't leaving their current jobs no matter the money
-
From a lower power conference team and it wasn't a lateral move. I thought the only power conference coaches we could get was someone like Brownell who is at a lower power conference program. I think you can put Devries in that same category because WVU is not a top job. Also Devries has only been there 1 year donut made it easier to move on. I just think these assistant coaches have to move around a lot already so why move when you don't need to.
-
This has nothing to do with the quality of the IU job but more to do with the coaches being happy where they are at. These coaches just use other openings to get more money from their current employer. It just doesn't make since to make a lateral move at best and leave a very successful program. You don't want too your family across country if you don't think it is necessary so you don't mess with winning or happiness.
-
Nope, just accurate
-
What a shocker that coaches didn't want to leave their current job at very successful programs

Well after One Shining Moment is over it is kind of sad knowing it will be 7 months until we see basketball again. Even though the play wasn't great to ight it is still better than no college basketball. -

Yes it is I saw IU win 3 of them -
Don't forget about drug dealers
-
Just saying even if IU didn't fire him that with the NCAA show clause he still wouldn't have been the coach at IU. Also spoke to early about winning a championship
