Games that IU actually won by a few points among the many losses….Post games even against (not good teams) Coach Woodson will talk about; how good IU played, winning is hard, we made shots, and games come down to the difference of a play or two. That was a great win against a really good team. These are teams that IU should have beat by no less than 15 to 20.

Penn State guard is a guess because of how she fits and her 3 point shooting. Only player I have seen mentioned connecting to IU Ladies. And a good big is needed. I agree about a player like Kiki…but they have to want to come. Maybe, something will happen with a player. Many coaches stress team and player defense and team unity. Though there are over a thousand players in transfer portal there are probably only (give or take a few) 30 to 50 impact players that could be good for IU Ladies…because IU Ladies are just as good as all the others and in many cases better.

I see a 5’7” 3 point shooter play making guard in the near future of IU Ladies basketball. And a big.

Does Robbie Aliva play in big ten or St Louis? Illinois, Purdue, Wisconsin, IU? or St Louis?

It would be a great show to see coach Woodson on Shark Tank.

Observation: players and team development have been demonstrated at a very high level. However it has limitations. There seems to be recruitment imbalance in relationship to winning success and the amount of popularity, fans and game day experience along with facilities that T. Moren and staff have created. In current situation it seems that this year and last year (2 years now) in transfer portal players have not jumped to IU compared to lesser winning programs and more winning programs. Though some really good players have been recruited from high school….recruiting battles that IU have hosted and made efforts have been lost regarding 5 stars with IU getting In a player top 5 or so but the player going to a traditional winning school or even a lesser winning school. (It is glaring in this year’s transfer portal since there is a need and many available players). On a positive note: There are still some very high impact players available and while keeping current team continuity…everything could change in a day with the addition of 2 crucial players that would make everything well…..still waiting. T. Moren has said more than once that team development and keeping team together is a top priority with transfer portal being an important piece. It does speak to program character, empathy and integrity since young lives are involved.

Major college sports in major conferences is strictly a business transaction. I suppose it’s like going to the bank for a business transaction. I suppose it is exciting and demonstrates coaching expertise for some…..along with university, community, civics, and fans involvement and support.

On the Ladies side not sure how much NIL schools are about, but some schools and several in big ten are getting some of the best impact players from transfer portal. It seems fluid and steady (kinda more easy). IU Ladies game time experience hoopla, attendance, and facilities have to be arguably one of the best. Then the integrity of T. Moren, staff, and players to one another = 0 IU players in transfer portal this year….. expect IU Ladies to get a couple players from the transfer portal = 13 player roster. (maybe at most 14)

In program instability it’s a way to buy time; expensive time.

I am all for NIL and outrageous coaching salaries….. If coaches and players build their own stadiums/Gyms, pay all expenses related to their sport and their lives. (and that is a huge itemized list that they are gifted…..from laundry and janitorial and landscaping services to travel, training, eating, upkeep of facilities, and other tangible and non tangible things and opportunities. If in January you have a soso 12 win 8 loss record….will it be well there are many new faces, man…we just have to get these guys to gel…well man….got to keep working to make the tournament. We don’t expect NIT bids. Hard to make a connections for any team to a roster mostly of one and two year players unless they are highly, very highly successful both, on and off court.
