Because that’s a recruiting 1-2 punch. HC with NBA playing and coaching experience and AHC with top-level recruiting experience in the mid-west.

UC is not an easy job. The fans here (I live in Cincinnati) still haven’t gotten over Huggy’s dismissal. Cronin was never good enough.

No doubt. It was a huge risk. Fife would be an even bigger one at IU because our program is such a dumpster fire right now. My point is that when evaluating assistants, the key thing is who they coached with not just the fact that they did it.

Juwan Howard coached for the best coach in the sport for 5 years before going to UM. That’s why I like Fife among the IU guys.
