Shooting wide open shots without competition in your face or jock strap is not a good representation. I remember Hornsby saying he could hit 95 out of 100 on his own without someone in his face. So yes, we'll see how he pans out in non-cupcake games.

FYI, I took a look at BSU's schedule and several of their games are on ESPN+ & ESPN News. (Not part of my YT TV programming). I plan on going to one of his games when I'm up there to take in an IU game this fall. Hope you guys in Indy will go up and catch a couple of games to support him.

I'm gonna take it easy on the analysis for the exhibition games, because that's an opportunity to do a bunch of trial and error on lineups, sets, defenses, etc. Not even a dress rehearsal IMO. Moorehead state will be the dress rehearsal. It's just after watching the Wyoming game, it brought me back down to earth on the expectations of this team. Yes, we should be far better than last year...but honestly that wouldn't take a whole lot. Sure hope we're as good as advertised, and I'll be rooting hard for them every minute. But with the experience we have back, we better not average 10+ TO's per game, nor stand around and watch TJD go 1 on 3 in the paint.

Duly noted, but our offense sucked big time, except for TJD and JG overall play. We must have missed at least 10 bunnies at the rim. Parker couldn't hit anything, (I don't thinkhe hit one three, but I could be wrong) neither could Kopp, and Stewart's defense was worse than mine. And yet he's on the floor god knows how many minutes. We should have won that game by at least 15+. And it should have been a double digit lead for most of the game if we had any offense.

Just finished watching IU/Wyoming again. I didn't remember how poorly we played offensively. Defense was OK, but Parker Stewart was a huge liability all game long. Kopp didn't do much either. We don't win the game without TJD and Geronimo. Tempers my enthusiasm for this year until I actually see some huge improvement on the court.

I'll bet on seeing 5 new guys off the bench at once at the first sub pattern.

Guess I'm spoiled. Love Nantz, meh on Eagle. Not horrible, but not near as good as Nantz, but then again, ,few are.

What kind of format do we think we'll see with Woody at the helm? Regular game format? Unlimited time outs? Stoppage of play to correct things? Sub patterns? No shot clock? Multiple offensive possessions in a row, same with defense? I have no idea what to expect. RMK didn't always hold true to the pure game format. I know there will be refs, as Woody has said so. But beyond that....

Could it be Lisa Boyington by chance? She does some play by play for hoops and (I think) football. College

Bring back Laz & Kitchell. Shawn Morris is a great analyst on BTN. Hasn't been around much. I think his day job interferes. I saw and spoke with him at the OSU game in B-town in 2020-2021(?). Nice guy.

I would expect to see several different lineups this year, especially prior to the UNC game. With all the talent and depth we have Woody most certainly trying different lineups right now. By the time we play UNC I suspect we'll know the starters.

I'm hopeful that Woody will sub according to who gets the job done, irrelevant of age/experience. And it has to be a game to game thing. Nobody is "on" every game. So if Kopp is cold, and Bates is hot, play Bates til he drops. Woody said on the podcast that JHS is "streaky" with his shooting. So that could mean early sub for him at the 1-2 if he's cold. Someone brought up our performance against PUke with TJD on the bench, and playing more guard oriented. I agree with this IF the match-ups call for it. (I'm NOT saying bench TJD, but if Malik can produce when TJD is having an off nite, he should get the minutes) Assuming we have the depth we keep hearing about, being flexible is what it's all about IMO.

While I understand that they want large size NIL donations ($1200 minimum for this NIL), it would be nice if they could collect smaller donations from people who don't have the where with all to "subscribe and donate that much" but just want to throw in $50-$100 to the "kitty" for their own personal satisfaction, and want nothing in return.
