  1. I might eat my words but they don’t scare me…we usually play them tough. They don’t play good defense either. Have to score well, but definitely beatable.
  2. That’s tough, but would be interesting. Who knows maybe he and Cupps are really close too, which would help.
  3. Such a terrible decision to make players follow rules…I mean in society everyone wants to be excluded from them. Might as well make our team be the same…not. How about be mad at the players for a “terrible” decision instead of the coach.
  4. Decommitted from UK. Haven’t heard we are involved but we were linked to him before. I believe if I remember right AJ Moye is close to him, and AJ has been at a few games recently…probably reading way too much into that, but who knows… also don’t know if the current staff reached out to him. Is a teammate of JHS…
  5. I did see in the hoosiersportsnation forum, there is a poster who is a student. He said when Coen wakes by they chanted “we want Coen” and he said he appeared to love it. Also mentioned that Cupps was there with him. So nothing official but sounds like an impression was made.
  6. I have never understand why not rotate Kopp and Stewart and start Geronimo at the 3. He is athletic enough to guard SF/wing type, and probably better than Kopp or Stewart can quite honestly. The bigs rotation would be tough if you did this because TJD and Durr can't shoot too far out, but Durr actually showed decent touch.
  7. I tell you who concerns me most, and that is Geo Baker....that dude shoots 30% all year, but when he plays Indiana he can't miss. There are certain guys who just seem to play good against certain teams. Baker is the guy that concerns me for them, after the obvious top two Cliff and Harper Jr.
  8. I was talking to my dad about this Sunday…could you imagine if Race and Trayce said screw it and came back for one more ride!
  9. I’ll agree to start off, the edit job is terrible lol I want this kid too. He too me seems like Jakai. It was said in the Joey Hart thread that he didn’t have that “dog” mentality. This kid and Jakai do, not scared of anyone at any time. There were half of those dunks that when he took off I was thinking, he ain’t dunking that, and then BAM! He doesn’t go soft to the hole!
  10. Not I agree here, that wasn't enough to warrant it. I also can agree that if a kid flexes and gets in a kids face, I wouldn't mind the official stopping the game briefly and pulling the kid over and saying "son that was a great move, but we aren't going to tolerate you trying to show someone up anymore. Clean it up, now." Then go on with the game, kind of a one warning policy. From time to time there is going to be some emotion so I get that part too.
  11. Is it, or is the real problem society, where we have to try and show someone up by being a jerk? I'm only 33, but I can't stand all the antics in sports. Bat flips, flexing, first down signals, 3 point celebrations.....some are harmless, but when you flex in another players face or something of the like, you deserve the technical. How about we act like we have been there before...just my take, old school, I know!
  12. Can’t read it but Indy Star has an article up about him. Have to be a subscriber
  13. So did JHS post this, or just this account and they tagged him in it?
  14. Booker seems to have all the skills if he could just put them together consistently he’d be a monster….he’s the type of kid I definitely don’t feel like is a “must get”, but I also feel like if he goes elsewhere we will regret it. Not sure but I get that vibe
  15. Not enough kids from Indiana....although Galloway's isn't great form either. Leal has nice form for sure. Just seems weird that kids have so many different ways to shoot. I have two sons 3 and 8. My biggest thing is making them stay close to the basket and don't try to shoot on too high of a rim, so they can keep proper form, and not start throwing it up there....hopefully it pays off. Right now they both have pretty good form. My senior year in high school, seems like forever ago, I avg. just under 18 ppg and shot 54% from the floor. Seeing all these players who shoot 40-44% from the field kill me lol I know college is different, but I feel like if you aren't shooting 46% or better from the floor overall, then you probably are shooting bad shots, or taking too many...but I know basketball is different than it used to be.
  16. I agree with Stu here...his shot is nothing like Xavier Johnson...he shoots it from a little lower than ideal, and its not the prettiest, but it looks 10 times better than X. X shoots from a low slot and is almost a 1 handed shot put.
  17. any recruiting info on him? options, ranking, anything?
  18. As expected…Ohio State
  19. I respect it…make rules, enforce them. You even saw with Coach K with Grayson Allen, he didn’t have the sack to do it. Suspended him for a non-conference game against a small school after multiple issues. Hopefully those 5 get their heads out of their backsides.
  20. I like that he was focused on getting a visit set with IU first...hopefully it pans out. This is the type of kid we need.
  21. Centerville got the win 67-63 over Mikey Williams and Vertical Academy. Cupps led the Elks with 21
  22. Also another secondary quote that I like. "“I will look to set up some more official visits after the season,” Evans said. “I am definitely looking at Oregon and Indiana; we’ll see who else. Baylor just started talking to me. Alabama and Gonzaga as well, they haven’t offered yet." I think the main competition might be Oregon, if for no other reason, apparently he really like NIKE.
  23. You can never read to much into those interviews, but he certainly had more to say about Indiana than the other two. I hope this works out.
