+1 Look at the mess at PSU as well. I think at least 6 players have entered the portal. -

It is sad that 18-22+ year old players have more patience than me! -

For my sleep patterns, an announcement sooner rather than later would be good! -

+1 If it is not Brad, we may be in for a long haul... because rumors of Brad would be perfect cover to recruit Beard or one of the other coaches in the tournament. -

My thought too... who else on our list would his description fit? -

These protocols would reinforce the theory that this meeting could have been done incognito. -

+1 there were a TON of good places to eat in Bloomington. Honestly, the food selection was better there than anywhere else I have lived (and I have lived in several college towns and currently live in Cincinnati - the food is good here too, just more spread out). -

He was my favorite poster on HSN (no offense to you, obviously). -

+1 assuming it is the same guy - obviously I guess anyone could have taken the name here - it was a poster I listened to over there. One of the few remaining - we lost many of our best posters on HSN this year - really tough. -

I felt on HSN that the tone really shifted on CAM when he whiffed on Kauffman. The language Dolson said about playing basketball that players want to play for reminded me of the discussions after that miss. From my understanding, there was no question Kauffman wanted to play for IU... -

He made great hires, no question. I am saying Mercer & Moren may have been easier to sign with more money and more visibility for the programs (and more money for Allen). I do not live in Indiana and until the BTN, I would never have been able to see I an IU baseball or women's basketball game on TV. Now they are covered from the Mid-Atlantic through the Midwest. That exposure is valuable. -

Not that I am anti-Glass, but the major improvements coincides with increased TV contracts for the Big Ten (including revenue from the BTN). Also the BTN made the non-money sports MUCH more visible. Although I was not super-big on the additions at the time, in some convoluted fashion we may actually owe Rutgers some thanks for some of the improvements... -

Thought, no... irrationally hoped for... yes. I have not had this much hope for IU basketball since the mid-90's (except briefly in the 2012 and 2013... once we could not beat a zone with a bunch of 3 point shooters on the team I lost hope). -

I liked the "Come home Brad" request and the explanation about how doing well in basketball outside of Indiana does not really count (like a tree falling in a forest...)! Edit: And how he was willing to return to Indianapolis to cover Indiana High School Basketball if they offered him the money! -

I was in 100% agreement. There also was a pretty decent podcast with Osterman where he discusses how basketball fandom is different in Indiana. How it is part of the person's identity based on family history. As someone that was born in Indiana but moved out when I was young, there is no question that being an IU fan was part of my identity implanted by my father. Almost like a nationality or something. -
