  1. Woodson may be putting in the walk ons soon. They took off all their warmups
  2. It's not reactionary to say that 38 points with 5:45 left in a D1 game is a complete embarrassment. This is just brutal.
  3. Mike Woodson is completely screwing with Gunn and Mgbako's confidence. One takes a shot he doesn't like and they're subbed out right away. The officiating is gonna lock this one up for RU soon. B10 has to have the home team win... and we were happy to give this one away to them.. case in point, walker double dribble and immediately pulled. He knows he messed up but he yanks him right away. What's that teaching him? How's it helping us get better?
  4. 3-12 FT. 15 TOs. This may be done with that 3. They can come back but gotta go now.
  5. Probably surprised he finally was passed the ball on a reversal
  6. I feel like Mackenzie's got a pretty short leash. Obviously his D limits his minutes but he makes one mistake and gets pulled right away more often than not.
  7. X was looking back for Woody for direction about either the play itself and/or the timing of when to go. I just don't get how we always make beating a zone look so hard. This is a solvable challenge.
  8. We've got to be the worst team at the last 30 seconds before halftime. Xavier looks like he just jumped in a pool. Dripping in sweat. Looked like that 3 really took the wind out of their sails. Frustration setting in for XJ and KW... and Mike Woodson. He is friggin pissed tonight. Let's hope the halftime speech delivers!
  9. Mackenzie's brother is sitting in front of me and getting introduced to a bunch of seemingly IU VIPs.
  10. Very sparse crowd so far has decent IU turnout. This is such a winnable game... RU does not look at all impressive or intense in warm ups. Hope we bring the effort tonight.
  11. The Governor declared a state of emergency so naturally a lot of people panic... I'll stop at that, read into what you will. Lol. The walk from Teter up Fee was always a ton of fun
  12. LOL! Not even 60mph winds, NJ rush hour traffic, and about 2-4 inches of rain can keep me away from this dump if it means seeing our Hoosiers. Doors open at 6. Said online that they'd be open at 5:30. Still early but right now it's me and about 5 RU fans lol. Think I saw a handful more in the parking lot too. These guys can't hold our jock. Let's get this ****in win!
  13. I could see us running a lot of sets for Mack today during his "homecoming." Making this comment half in jest, but he "knows those rims" in the RAC well having played there multiple times in HS/AAU. If he can stick with it on D and makes a concerted effort on the boards, I think he has a big scoring night too.
  14. This is exactly the push I was looking for to help me justify this risky commute! Lol. Thanks for delivering guys. About 25 mins normally, expecting it to be more like 50-60 today. Gonna look at things more positively and say once I actually make it into the building it'll be even better than under normal circumstances. Jersey Mike's Arena is notorious for having crap seating packed in like sardines. Last year I was knee to knee with a Hoosier couple from upstate NY who travel to every PSU and RU vs. IU game on one side, and the other, a guy from Texas who was family friends with Miller Kopp, who had also formed a relationship with the Gunn family apparently. It was a fun time! But we got our butts kicked. This year there will be less fans cheering on Rutgers and also less people squishing into each other. Easier for me to focus on the game and cheer the way I like to cheer... lol... Plus I think we've got a good shot of leaving with a W.
  15. Tickets are DIRT cheap on SeatGeek right now. Can sit a row behind the bench for about $40 after fees. I'm going to try not to think about the money I've wasted if I don't go. At this rate I'd rather eat the loss than wind up stranded in a flood and out even more money... but... this is one of the few chances I get to see IU basketball play in person these days! Truly may need to flip a coin. (laughing/crying face) ...... main takeaway: shouldn't have to worry too much about the Rutgers crowd. Their student section, I hate to admit, was really loud last year. Definitely was being felt on the court.
  16. It is still carrying on, sadly. I am debating going out in this biblical flood, but not happy about it. Oh well. Worst case scenario I guess I'm watching via Peacock!
  17. Rebound well. Limit turnovers. Play good defense. Take smart shots.... and we should win. Then again, you could say that before every single game! Don't love our personnel matchups with this group, honestly. They're gonna be very physical down low. Simpson will draw a ton of fouls. I'm planning to go as of now but the hype about this storm is crazy!
  18. Damn was really hoping for a rain out today and reschedule! Look like I'm gonna brave the floods
  19. Mawot Wag, Omoruyi, and Simpson have me concerned. RU fans are disappointed with Omoruyi this year, though. Football... I mean RU basketball... is always tough at the RAC. Hopefully dangerous weather means a less disruptive crowd to worry about
  20. Its going to be pouring rain starting from noon tomorrow with winds from 45-80mph... Flood warning/state of emergency issued starting at 5pm, which is exactly when I would be leaving my house... Attending may be a gametime decision tomorrow due to weather, but I spent way too much to not go! Also don't want to end up stranded in a flood. Rooting for the storm to carry further north...
