People still undervalue Zeller like crazy. Everyone remembers Dipo and his rise but forget how great Zeller was from day 1. Sure he had some flaws, but he made a 12 win team into a 26 win team as a freshman. Without a doubt outplayed Anthony Davis twice that year. Media ripped him apart his sophomore year unfortunately. A lot of negativity towards him for whatever reason. Most talk was of Dipo or Burke.

It gets into some deep politics. We live in a country where you can murder someone and be out in 3 days and just keep doing it. Depends where you live obviously. Depends on the judge, the DA, prosecutors and all that jazz of where ever it is all happening. Judges nowadays don't really go by law it seems anymore. Just personal bias and agenda.. but that's my two cents. Technical legal stuff... Couldn't help ya there outside of "innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."

That Hulls to Zeller connection was flawless.

I was very young. I really have no memories of IU basketball before the 2002 tourney run. But looking back? Pitino should have been hired in 2001. Without any question. He would have won multiple titles at Indiana.

ltll be interesting to see if he can actually do anything at GTown. They are following in IUs path... But.. Kim English will be interesting to watch IMO.

Let's be for real... This school hasn't taken basketball seriously since the early 90s. If you ask me, on purpose. But... A truly serious program would have told Mike Davis to find employment elsewhere or try to stay on staff because we are hiring Pitino and not you. CLEARLY, ANY staff that cared would have told the NCAA to shove one up their arse when the Sampson stuff happened(see UNC or Kansas). Oh there is a prodigy coach at Butler that just went to back to back titles? Oh let's not hire him because we are scared of losing Zeller? Oh that coach also recruited Zeller like crazy at Butler? Well let's just keep our coach that won 28 games the past 3 years instead. That'll never come back to haunt us... Moral of the story... Not a serious program at all. They just want the money. They don't care about the fans or the product, just your money.
