Jones was absolute trash. But the coach is still the weakest link and still has a job for some reason. Guess we will see though. Don't see the run blocking getting any better.

Well technically losing in the title game makes you the last loser of the season.

Virginia has only won 6 more games than UNC overall in the last 10 years. Only 6. They've won those 5 conference titles, UNC has won 3. So are those 6 wins and 2 conference titles enough to overtake 2 more NCAA tourney appearances? 2 more Final Fours? 2 more national title appearances?

There is literally no possible way you could actually believe UVa has been a better program than UNC who has made 3 national title games in that span and won one.

I don't know. If we want to be different, Miami is very different and probably the 3rd best ACC team.

1. UNC 2. Duke 3. Miami 4. No one else Those are who I'd want to play.

Duke and UNC do have new coaches. UNC off to a great start. Duke is yet to see but recruiting wise they definitely didn't slow down. So we will see. Either way, Virginia has been behind both programs.

Now it's 7 years? We were doing 10. And it took into everything. The biggest difference is what has happened in the NCAA Toruney. Virginia, Duke and UNC all have national titles in the last 10 years. Virginia in that span though has only went to 3 Sweet 16s, 3 E8, 1 FF. Duke has went to 6 S16, 5 E8 and 2 FF. UNC has been to 5 S16, 3 E8, 3 FF and lost in the title game in 2016. Like I said, it's close. But both Duke and UNC have been better on the national stage.

You know I actually had just done some research on this very thing... And no. UVa hasn't been better. It's close but UNC and Duke have still been Top 5 programs.

Well because Duke and UNC are still by far the premier programs and it isn't even close.

Or just believe they are more likely to beat the bubble and it would only be a win-win for them.

3 years ago those reasons would be legit. As of right now they are just Indiana under Archie.

Those years were actually pretty balanced. Had star bigs in Shaq, Duncan, Garnett, Dirk, Howard, Pau. Had wings like LeBron, Durant, McGrady, Carter, Granger etc. Had guards like Nash, Kidd, Wade, Kobe, CP3 etc.

It wasn't for Duke fans.

No one outside of IU-Virginia fans would care about that game. It's like settling for Butler or ND in the Crossroads again.

I wonder what kind of treatment he would get in a Bloomington return... But I still think math up wise, marketing wise, money wise, TV eating wise... Indiana-Virginia would be a snoozer(in multiple ways) compared to IU-UNC or IU-Duke.

And I'd still rather have a game against a Top 5 team in Bloomington over Virginia. That just sounds like a great way to screw us. Especially with the B1G likely being very down.

Similar to us? Nah. That sounds like a failure of a season on our part.

We have twice in the last ten years. And we've played them both times we had stud center returning and going into the season Top 15... Zellers group smoked em by 24 and Bryant's group beat them by 9.... Hopefully this season goes more in the direction of Zellers than Bryant's though...

Well this past year the #3 ACC team was an 11 seed and in a play in game. The #4 team, Miami was a 10 seed. The #5 and #6 teams, Wake Forest and Virginia didn't make the tourney. The ACC tourney champs, Virginia Tech we're an 11 seed. Even UNC was an 8 seed and finished 2nd. A lot of that had to do with just how bad the ACC was throughout the season. They performed well in the tourney but I don't consider that to be the end all, be all of how good teams are. A lot will be about how ACC teams perform in the OOC, but I wouldn't expect much outside of Duke, UNC and maybe Miami. We are expected to finish Top 3 in the B1G and a Top 4 seed. So it'd be nice to play another similar type team.

I really want to see NBA basketball get back to being an inside out game. There are some bigs good enough. Mainly Embiid and Jokic. Need to get back to teaching bigs the fundamentals and secrets of the post. Too many nowadays look absolutely lost in the post or don't know how to take advantage of a mismatch. NBA also needs to get a control on the insane amount of flopping in the post when bigs are backing down.

I did tweet out about the IU-UNC game if anyone wants to look me up and share. Maybe we can make someone's post somewhere about it and make it go viral and convince the leagues to do it. (@XavierHarkness)

Virginia just ain't gonna be on that level next season. They'll be a tourney team I think, but the ACC is Duke and UNC and then everyone else. Maybe Miami. We are projected to win the Big Ten. We should play one of the two best teams from the ACC. Same for the Big East.
