  1. Ideally, yes but it doesn’t always turn out that way (see Stevie Scott). Desan doesn’t have the body for RB but if he has the hands he’d be perfect for TE. I believe he runs a 4.74 40 already. I don’t know what Daeh’s and Deland Jr’s speed and agility are rated at but Daeh is already a pretty big kid for a CB. He may end up as big as Desan by the time he graduates HS.
  2. I find it interesting that all his kids play on defense. You’d think there’d be at least one RB, WR or TE in the group.
  3. I expected him to be a substantial contributor this coming year. Very surprised by this.
  4. Brooks Sr did an interview and flat out said the plan was to test the NBA waters (good luck with that, bro) and “go from there, but if he’s coming back to college it will be at Kentucky”. He aint comin here and that’s perfectly fine with me
  5. Pastner would be a bold choice given his own off the court issues. I have to imagine that administration will look to someone with a clean record and no ties to cheating/scandals. No one knows what kinda job this will be once the NCAA is done with them
  6. Indeed. I’m excited to see what he can bring and cautiously optimistic Woodson and Fife can reign in his turnovers, which is really the only knock on this kid. Defends well, 50% from the field, can penetrate and dish and makes his free throws.
  7. The same Iowa team we swept? Virginia was mediocre this year in a very down year for the ACC so yea, in the beginning on the season they played W Virginia and played well...that was 5 months ago...did you have a point or just being a contrarian? Is that you case that they played an adequate schedule to prepare themselves for this game?
  8. When your best tests all season + tournament are overrated Creighton and USC, how can you be prepared? Their journey to this game was a joke and it shows
  9. I fairness, he shoved Mitchell out of bounds to regain a loose ball and they swallowed the whistle so it should have been worse.
  10. He’ll always have a spot as the video coordinator and full time golf cart driver for recruiting visits
  11. I have to imagine this comes with “heir apparent” strings unless he was downgraded at MSU. He was long thought to be next in line to replace Izzo. Must have got tired of waiting. Either way, great hire. I’d love to know more about his recruiting record but I expect him to be a very solid X’s & O’s guy as a former PG and high level QB in high school.
  12. No one said Woodson has any interest in Brooks and you’re right, Brooks isn’t in the portal. The debate was between fans responding to a rumor and after 4 years of the blind nonsense that was “Trust in CAM” even that sentiment seems a bit misguided. After all, this is a message board and it’s sole purpose is discussion and debate. Lecturing people for doing just that? Really?
  13. Had this conversation with my wife. Like, what do these guys see that we don’t? In slow motion it was a foul, goaltend or both but all they could say is how great a block it was.
  14. Ya. So you agree with me. My point was Baylor can easily get 90 on Gonzaga, but Gonzaga isn’t getting 90 on Baylor
  15. If Gonzaga plays like this against Baylor it won’t even be close. UCLA played well but you’re not putting up 90+ on Baylor
  16. Juzang is killing me here (Context: If UCLA wins, I win my bracket). Jump stop, pump fake and dish to a wide open Tyger there
  17. Wasted waaaaay too much time bringing the ball up. Wasted opportunity
  18. It’s about “fairness” but mostly optics...and you’re not wrong.
  19. I remember we recruited him and he played on a stacked HS team that got ESPN play but outshined his teammates...when I knew we weren’t getting him all I cared about was that he didn’t go to Purdue...so glad he didn’t. Kid. Can. Play
  20. Makes you wonder what was so off about UCLA during the regular season. This is not an 11 seed coming from a bad conference. Especially with the talent they have.
  21. Juzang played behind 3 current NBA guards on that team and it was a top 10 team in the nation. His situation as a freshman and Brooks’ as a sophomore are simply not comparible and I really can’t belive I have to explain this to you.
  22. Maybe. Until he proves otherwise...not a great talent. I don’t know why I have to assume he is. He played on stacked AAU and HS Teams...it’s not hard to surmise that he simply isn’t as good as people thought he was. If he develops into a great player than good for him. Until then stop telling me 2+2=10 and the grass is blue
  23. This is the most bizarre sports debate I’ve ever been apart of.
  24. Lander was not gun shy. He’d come in, jack up as many bricks as he could muster before getting pulled. Rinse and Repeat. Archie gets some of the blame but not shooting 25% blame. I’m not trying to kick a kid when he’s down, but lets pump the breaks on referring to him as a great talent. I sincerely hope he develops into one
