Sampson will get more carries that Scott if he stays healthy. He’s the total package with way more speed and much better hands. I expect to see a thunder and lightning approach next season by committee. That said, don’t sleep on Ronnie Walker. That kid has tons of talent but just didn’t have the size and strength to take over the full time duties as a true frosh. As a somemore and putting in time with the S&C coach I expect him to challenge Sampson for carries. Scott has a high floor but a low ceiling but can be a huge success as a short yardage back. Sampson and Walker have the talent to be the next the next Tevin Coleman.

All three were on Morgan. His defense is terrible. It always has been. -

Bennett turned us down. That’s how we arrived at Archie in the first place. This isn’t a better job than UVA anymore. How’s Marshall doing this season without top talent? He’s not the answer and would be a nightmare for the administration to deal with. -

Playing time is earned in practice, weight room and in film sessions. It’s not gifted because a kid needs it. -

Why? He doesn’t play defense, doesn’t execute the plays and can’t do anything on offense but hit wide open 3 pointers. By that logic give me a scholarship -

10 at best probably around 15 unless he fixes his shot. Most projecting him as a lottery pick are simply assuming he will fix his shot. His current game won’t work in the NBA without an outside shot -

Can we at least stop going under the screens on Cline? Do these kids even read a scouting report? -

1-5 from the line with two front end misses. Turnovers. Missing open shots. I mean, I like the effort on defense excluding Green and Romeo but something has to change on offense -
Lol! Who? Name one? and Bobinski? The guy who got turned down 3 times until the 11th hour and Brohm fell in his lap?? Nevermind PJ Fleck rejected him to go to the powerhouse that is Minnesota. Bobinski accomplised literally nothing at his last stop and thus far only has lucking into Brohm as his claim to fame at Purdue...who has only beat IU by a single TD each time out and has one winning season (but his recruiting class). Bobinski is throwing obsene amounts of money at him to keep him and is literally all in. If Brohm doesn’t pan out they are stuck with no outs. Is Glass the best AD in the country? I donno but he fits in at IU, had connections all over the midwest and he gets things accomplished. Name me an AD in IU history who has a better record against Purdue than Glass...I’ll wait
-
Glass had nothing to do with the program at the time so what difference does “the why” make? It’s irrelevant that the program “didn’t have to be as bad as it was”...it just was and Glass had to fix it. Crean wasn’t even the first option. We had 2-3 guys turn Glass down before he settled on Crean just as he was turned down by Stevens, Donovan and Bennett when he settled on Archie. To say Glass could have hired better coaches but didn’t is asinine. Nobody wanted this dumpster fire but Crean and probably a handful of unproven MAC level coaches. He just shelled out $800k for one of the best OC’s in the country not already coaching at a powerhouse program which is more than any assistant in the BigTen not working at Ohio St. and Michigan. Look you can be as hardheaded and delusional of a fan as you want but inappropriate expectations only lead to disappointments

Because a different AD gets us a better record in football? It hires a better coach than Tom Crean after Sampsongate? Get real. We’ve never had a successful football program, ever and our basketball program was in ashes. Things take time. Crean was an amazing hire given the state of the program, Wilson was a great hire until it wasn’t and the jury is still out on Allen. I’ll admit I wasn’t impressed with the promotion of Allen but he could still turn into a winner. It’s not like guys with stacked resumes were lining up to coach here and at the time everyone wanted Allen to stay for his defensive prowess. Beyond all of that, other athletic programs are thriving. Glass is doing his job and doing it well, it’s just not as easy of a job diehard fans think it is.

We're getting a guy who's in charge of the 18th nationally ranked Fresno St offense, who just won a second straight bowl game (against Arizona St and Houston last year). They were also ranked the year before until the regular season finale loss to Boise St. Before that he helped turn around one of the worst teams in college football (Eastern Michigan) who went from a perennial 2 win per season team to a bowl game in year 3 of his tenure. This is an unbelievable hire and a guy I thought would be getting HC offers this off season. I'm not sure it's valid to argue Wilson's offenses caused his awful defenses. Our defense was awful because we had zero play makers and couldn't get stops, especially in the secondary.
-
I can understand that. I don't know the timing of everything at Mizzou. I know his HC came down with cancer which prompted the change in the first place. Could be he has issues, could be that he just wasn't entertaining all offers. Some guys are more patient than others and it's clear he knew he could always come home to OK St for a job. That's my first reservation on him...what happens if/when OK St asks him back for their OC job? I don't want our program to be a stepping stone location. I think Allen needs to park his pride and give Canada the reigns if he in fact wants it and is willing to stick around.

Yea, I think the jump forward reference to Romeo made me think he was talking about last season. -

Snow is a moron. He says on this podcast that we lost our 3 best players from last year. So Johnson, McSwain and Hartman are all three better than Morgan, Davis and Green? Not a chance. He comes off as a casual fan pretending to be an expert.
