  1. New Peegs interview with Stewart. In the interview, Isaiah listed a long list of schools making him a priority, Indiana was one of the schools he named. He said he plans to cut a list soon. Isaiah also said the Indiana in-home visit was great, they talked about expanding his game, how they would use him, etc. He says he is impressed with Coach Miller and he is a coach that is going to win games. Isaiah also says he is interested in making a decision before his Senior season.
  2. While Johnson was brought up in the College Football thread, I figured i'd make it's own thread. Under 30 minutes ago, Matt Weaver published an article on Peegs that the Hoosiers were expected to be in the mix for Johnson. Before committing to Clemson in 2016, Johnson committed to Tennessee when current Indiana offensive coordinator Mike Debord and QB's coach Nick Sheridan were on the UT staff. Weaver says sources tell Peegs that Johnson has developed a very good relationship with the two coaches, and that is one factor working in IU's favor. Another positive for the Hoosiers listed in the piece is that Indiana strength and conditioning coach David Ballou was the strength coach at Avon HS when Johnson's older brother Cole played for the Orioles. The family reportedly thinks highly of Coach Ballou and the job he did working with their son. A head coach at an Indiana high school also informed Weaver that Indiana is expected to be squarely in the mix for Johnson whenever he decides to make a decision.
  3. Planning to visit Indiana this weekend per Steve Wiltfong. Other contenders include Northwestern, Purdue and Duke. https://247sports.com/Player/Bryce-Kirtz-92197
  4. I think there's no question. It would be VERY surprising if the staff didn't do everything they could to try and land Hunter.. Debord and Sheridan were the lead recruiters for Johnson at Tennessee.. The relationship there is good.
  5. IU has a shot here. Debord and Sheridan recruited him at Tennessee as well before coming to Indiana. Hunter actually was committed to Tennessee before flipping to Clemson. The Hoosiers at the moment have as good a chance as anyone..
  6. Yes, it had been a little while since the last update for Hurt though.
  7. Peegs said that the Hoosiers seem to solidly be in Hurt's speculated top five, but that Duke and Kansas may be tough to overcome.
  8. New Bama Hoops article says new 5-star Kira Lewis plans to visit Alabama in early June, along with Indiana and Kentucky in the coming weeks.
  9. Will be visiting IU this weekend. We're in great shape here.. Great shape.
  10. Keion made a leap from #16 to #9 overall player in the updated 2019 247Sports Player Rankings.
  11. Watford told Peegs the 7 schools recruiting him the hardest are: Kansas, Indiana, LSU, Memphis, TCU, Alabama, and Florida State He also said he and his family will probably visit Indiana in the fall again.
  12. Per Rabjohns, Franklin will take an unofficial visit to IU on June 7th. He also has visits planned for Xavier, Louisville, Purdue and a few others. Right now says he is going to cut his list in August but don't be surprised if he makes a decision before then.
  13. Per Rabjohns, Keion is eyeing Hoosier Hysteria for his IU official visit.
  14. New interview on Peegs with TJD He said that he's nowhere near a decision. Same six of IU, OSU, MSU, Purdue, UCLA, and Iowa with Georgia and Memphis coming strong as well. Also said that Romeo's decision to go to IU being from Indiana is really cool and will probably have an impact on what he does too. Recruiting guys are saying it could be soon, but then Trayce says he's nowhere near a decision. Hmm.
  15. Snow said in his weekly Indiana Hoops Report that it seems IU has taken a commanding lead for TJD and that a commitment could happen before July.
  16. New Rabjohns article about TJD, talking about how he'd like to team up with Romeo. If Romeo stays two years that will have a big impact on his decision. Said he plans to make a decision in the fall. What It sounded like to me was if he knew Romeo was staying two years, he'd commit now. He said the six schools recruiting him the hardest are: IU, OSU, Iowa, Purdue, MSU, and UCLA
  17. Not sure if this relates to Fitzner or one of the '19 kids but Peegs said today that their team is in Nashville and that the odds of a hoops commitment always increase when he leaves Indiana. He followed that up by saying he wasn't promising anything.
  18. Trayce says in this article he intends to cut down a list after his travel season ends in July. https://ohiostate.247sports.com/Article/Indiana-basketball-prospect-Trayce-Jackson-Davis-has-offers-from-most-of-the-Big-Ten-117875001
