  1. The Wisconsin defender's right foot was inside the arc. That's not a charge.
  2. Maybe Davis can intimidate Happ with some vomit breath. .
  3. He's already got one cheesy foul (pun intended). He's probably trying to avoid picking up two early.
  4. Next time Happ gets the ball, JuMo should just position himself outside the block/charge arc and when Happ initiates contact -- go flying. Bucky got a charge on a flop; maybe we can, too. Though I wouldn't hold my breath.
  5. We're winning but ... Davis isn't feeling well and JuMo just got a charge on a flop by Bucky. Egads!
  6. So, Davis is hurling in the locker room before the game ... I swear -- this team just can't buy a break.
  7. Virginia Tech keeps working crazy hard to get their guard, Wabissa Bede, wide-open 3s -- and he keeps missing. Hokies led throughout, and I fear they're gonna end up blowing it.
  8. "the great Archie Miller" comment -- at least the one that I saw -- came from some fan. Jake's dad was just replying to it.
  9. As far as I can tell, the "the great Archie Miller" phrase did not come from Jake's dad. It came from another tweet to which Jake's pop replied. ... There definitely have been times when Mr. Forrester has been critical of Archie. He, however, did not write "the great Archie Miller."
  10. U.Va. -- down by 10 at halftime -- wins at Louisville by 12. ... Cavs are 32-3 in past 35 ACC games. I know it won't mean much unless they do anything in the NCAAs, but I think this is the year they turn the corner.
  11. Forgot Virginia was playing at noon today. Turned it on at halftime -- Louisville was ahead by 10. We've got eight minutes left and the Cavs are now up by 2. Although the Cards just got screwed. They got called for a charge when the defender's foot clearly was inside the restricted area. Mack went nuts and got a T. They can review that call at certain points of the game, but not others? Makes very little sense to me.
  12. From what I can gather, Big Daddy (Jake's dad) is an assistant principal at a high school in Harrisburg, Pa., and it looks as if he played at Temple (probably played for Chaney). I don't think that Jake went to his school, though -- at least later on. I believe he sent him to a prep school.
  13. I'm late to this, but from what I gather, Big Daddy 379 is Forrester's dad?
  14. If you're talking about Alford the player and referring to our guys' FT and 3-point shooting, I'd say you're 100 percent correct: Alford wouldn't have done this bad. In fact, it's right there in the stats: He never did perform as poorly as our fellas do now. If you're talking about Alford in some other capacity, I'd disagree ...
  15. We won an NCAA title 32 years ago because we simply ran our offense during the final 28 seconds against Syracuse. And because Darryl Thomas (RIP) passed the ball -- the greatest assist in IU history. Alford, our go-to guy, never even touched the ball on that last possession.
  16. Once we got to OT, I knew we were cooked. ... That last play of regulation was abysmal. To have Romeo stand out there and dribble for 25 seconds then chuck up a step-back 3 ... Sheesh! Make a pass. Make two. Make three. Get it to JuMo down low for a scoop and maybe he gets fouled. When the ball never leaves one player's hand, it's too damn easy to defend. Even if you want Romeo to take the shot, have him pass, then get the ball back to him. ... I HATE it when final sequences are run like that.
  17. Bohannon is the luckiest muther on Earth ... He's not even shooting; he's just flinging it up there.
  18. On a final possession like that, you HAVE to pass the ball. Damn, I hate that kind of play.
  19. And one of those fouls probably will be on an illegal screen.
  20. Can we win game? It depends on whether we're down 10-0, 15-0 or 20-0 at the 16-minute timeout. If it's 10, I think we can make it competitive. If it's either of the latter two, I'll say we're in our usual heap of trouble.
  21. To be honest, I'm just starting to think regardless of attitude, Smith is just not a very good basketball player. A pretty good athlete? Yes. But the basketball skills just don't seem to be there -- at least from my observations. I've seen him get good positioning on a box out, only to just see the ball bang off his hands as he goes for the rebound. I've seen him shoot an airball from 15 feet. I've seen him shoot an airball from 10 feet. I've seen him nearly break the backboard on a 20-footer. I've seen him make a nice move to get to the bucket, then totally brick what should be a simple layup. ... Maybe he should've just tried football or track -- perhaps those are better suited to his athletic capabilities. With his skill set (or lack thereof), he is never gonna be a scorer. He could be a great defender if he played hard when he's on the court, but he pouts when he's not a bigger part of the offense. And when he is part of the offense, he can't score anyway. It's a Catch 22 for Archie.
