Is Cook Hall open to the public anymore? I remember when Crean was here the public was allowed to come anytime it was open. If so, maybe someone can stop in and see if anyone is on a visit? lol

I'm beginning to wonder if Dorn might stay on roster. Just a thought since I doubt we get anyone much better than him at this point. Another summer of training and who knows, but the kid can shoot and get to the rim when he needs to. With the attention our bigs are going to get in the paint, that should free up guys like him and if he becomes more consistent..look out.

Yeah, him or the kid who just committed to Uconn... both probably to expensive i guess.

Probably hard to think of it that way because many good teams have retention and thus no need to be big spenders in the portal while others like us this year have to spend a lot for a new team that has no continuity to begin summer practice.

I just don’t want to see also those bigs gassed and play to many minutes. And like you say, foul trouble can deplete us fast.

This roster is very good, but if we want to be in the NC conversation then I think we still need to spend some decent money on these next two players and think about rotations that keep every one fresh and hopefully injury free.

Good points I did not consider. Seems strange to me that the NIL is like the Wild West but the time of practice is so heavily regulated..I do think the staff with all the years of experience aboard should be on top of this. This is the year we need to spend the most and then taper off after balancing the roster out.

There is no time for a break. They’ve got to keep the pedal to the metal. In my opinion, you have to round out this team as fast as possible so they can start practicing and getting used to playing with one another. We can’t wait around and start shopping the bargain bin although I know we can’t be paying millions of dollars for the rest of the players, but we can’t take guys that are just a step above the hyper either.

Seems like that could come back to haunt us if we get the injury bug…seems like it’s been a great strategy so far but passing out before the finish line?
