My 2 week Break from the middle school crazies (sorry if you're a middle school parent, but your kids are insane..and I love working with them) starts this Friday at 3:15 pm 1st beer in hand by 3:30pm

My take: To a certain degree due to Covid, 2020 was sh*t and only now are there inkings of getting back to "normal'. From that, people have not been able to physically connect for quite a while and this community of IU fans needs an outlet to connect. Different strokes for different folks, but this is a distraction that is needed to have some sense of social connection. Also, again a COVID phenomenon; more people are working from home on their computers than ever. So I imagine many are working, but can be on the message boards more since the boss isn't looking over their shoulder, so to speak. I could be way off base, but just initial thoughts from a teacher who has felt the stress of trying to teach "virtually" at times and all the problems that has gone with that. Don't be too hard on us man!

I mentioned this in another thread, but I think the faster paced style that Dolson talked about in his presser post-Archie is hopefully the seeds of change for the B1G. Just a hunch that most kids today want to play a more up-tempo style, isolation, etc.. I am an old 50 year dude that still loves the motion offense, BIG centers posting down low, etc.. but that is not today's game. The B1G's crapfest this tournament made that clear that banging and bruising doesn't work outside the conference. RMK was an innovator for his time and brought IU many years of success. We need a new coach that is an innovator once again for this era. for the Glory of Old IU...
