Right. I think Bruce Pearl could lead UCLA to Final Fours and Titles. Rick Barnes can win you the crappy Pac 12 and make a Sweet 16/Elite 8 run every now and then. Problem is UCLA has 11 National Titles banners..Sweet 16/Elite 8 is nothing there.

2019 Off-Season IU Roster News and Moves

He very well could. I would be surprised if he goes to IU. I think he is Memphis or Alabama bound. Also think we have a decent shot with Quinones. He can flat out shoot. -
I think Bruce Pearl would be a perfect fit.

2019 Off-Season IU Roster News and Moves

I hate speculating but I'd be really surprised if Justin Smith comes back to IU. It sounds like TJD is going to be the 4 and Brunk, assuming he comes, will be your 5 with De'Ron. Race also plays the 4. I don't think Justin would like a role where he comes off the bench. I hope Damezi sticks around for one more year. He has a better path for playing time than Forrester and Moore. Also, we have three. Romeo, Clifton, Jake, Juwan, and Evan are gone. TJD and Armaan filled two of them. I'm okay with Archie having 11/12 scholarship players. You don't need to fill all 13 spots. -
He should. He is a borderline first round pick. It's one thing if you're a sophomore or junior but he has a chance to be the best player at Duke next year. He could move up a few spots.

2019 Off-Season IU Roster News and Moves

Look at Texas Tech's players and their rankings. Rob Phinisee wasn't a top 100 recruit. I'm done worrying about recruiting rankings. If the kid will play hard for Indiana and Archie plus fit the system I will take them! -

Christian said in an interview that Trendon would not go to IU if Romeo stayed. I mean is that bad to say-not really. Just why does it matter? I just think IU needs to stay away from guys who want to go to college for one year. Nothing against Romeo or Trendon. -
What will it take to win #6

No reason IU can't be a title contender in 2021. Rob Phinisee should be an All-Big Ten guard by then. Al Durham will be a senior and can give you double-digit scoring, hopefully 40% from 3. TJD is another All-Big Ten player. Wild card is Jerome Hunter. If he is 3/4 the player we think he can be that will be huge. Like the idea of Brunk and Race in the front court. Armann is a nice combo guard who can shoot it. Justin and Damezi? We will see about them. -

I think I'd rather have Quinones over Watford, Beverly, and Windham. He would be the first guard off the bench in year one and start year two. I'd love Watford but the Romeo comment rubbed me the wrong way. IU needs guys who will play to their role. That is why I love seeing Devonte getting shots up at Cook Hall! -

I think scholarship. I don't know how good he is. TJD just said he can shoot it. TJD also said he is working on his handles and shooting. That tells me he is the 4 and Brunk is the 5. Race backs up TJD and De'Ron backs up Brunk. Rob, Al, and Devonte is your backcourt. What does this mean for Justin Smith?? Time will tell. -

I am so excited for TJD and Armaan to get on campus. They are both trying to recruit Brunk and Windham. TJD is already working out with Brunk. They seem like the right guys for the culture along with Rob and Al. -
As a big college basketball fan I love this title game. Smart teams playing...new coaches and new teams. If Guy has a Purdue like 2nd half I think Virginia cuts down the nets.

I think IU has two nice pieces for the next three years. Rob Phinisee and TJD I think could be an All-Big Ten/All-American duo in a few years. Need shooters and guys who will play hard on defense. -
First one to 40 wins Monday! I think Texas Tech will pull it off. They are so tough. Chris Beard is the new great in coaching. Reminds me of Brad Stevens rising in 2010.

Not sure anyone cares, but Bob Knight is back on IU’s campus for a baseball game. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I still don't understand why Mark Few isn't their number 1 guy. Recruits the west coast really well. Throw money at him and see what happens. Historically UCLA is a top notch program. No reason they can't get a good coach.

Interview with Rabjohns on Peegs. Basically knows the IU culture. 3.9 GPA from Butler. Ole Miss seems to be the only other school recruiting him. I'd be shocked if he isn't a Hoosier. This team just needs guys that want to play for IU no matter their role. -

Awesome! I've said it many times but this team needs the same dedication Hulls, Oladipo, and Sheehey had in 2011. They were sick and tired of losing. -
The Season Is Finally Over, Now Where Does This Program Go?
HoosierFan1994 replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Bingo. I think all of these guys are great kids. Everyone is wired different. I don't mean to compare a fraternity to a basketball program but we had members drop all the time. They weren't bad people. It was because it wasn't a good fit for them and the passion wasn't there. I saw a lot of that this year like you did. -

It depends. Is he a locker room problem? If so, addition by subtraction. This team needs guys who will play for Indiana and Archie Miller. Outside of Rob, Al, De'Ron, and Race that was hard to find on a consistent basis last year. -
I agree with this. Sometimes I like his takes but other times he is trying to be an entertainer. Dude knows the x's and o's for sure.
