(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky
HoosierFan1994 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Really interesting development that TJD is going to be at his announcement. I would think if Keion was going to UK he would tell TJD "Hey, I appreciate this but I'm going to Kentucky. You don't have to come". Especially considering he has a Semi-State game Saturday. Who knows...maybe Keion has said something similar to that. Awesome of TJD to do that regardless. I really do believe that nobody truly knows. I think the UK buzz is coming off of the visit. They just have momentum especially with our crappy Big Ten play this year. The crystal ball isn't always right. -
Back to back to back tornado warnings in Evansville. This is crazy.

Currently in shelter watching the game. Go IU!!!!

Tomorrow starts nonstop action Thursday to Sunday for three straight weeks! College Hoops at its best.

I could have seen this happen to Crean while he was here.

Yes-We have to realize coaches miss on recruits all the time..Cal missed on Edwards and Wiseman. Coach K has certainly missed on some as well. You can't get everybody. One recuit is not bigger that the program. We all learned that with Romeo. Plus, Archie has got two of the best recruits in Indiana the last two years (TJD and Romeo). The biggest Indiana recruits Crean ever got were Zeller, Yogi, and JBJ. That's it. Three in nine years. Archie could have three in two years. Keion certainly improves this team. However, if he goes to UK then so be it. I still like the roster Archie is building. He needs a shooter and another wing. -
I have a workshop tomorrow. 1 hour lunch break at the start of tip off! Going to follow the 2nd half on my phone. BIG BIG game! I will be wearing my IU polo. C'mon boys we need this win!

I'm with you. I'm not excited about the 2020 class. Plus, I home we are more invested in the team the next year or two. -

I sure hope Archie wouldn't drive there on the night before the biggest game of his IU career to be told Keion is going to UK but that's just me... -

Thread about Cal visiting Brooks. Rumor Archie is visiting him tonight. -
Really excited about the big game tomorrow. As a fan, nothing beats getting excited for a big game. I joined this board during Crean's final days. In the two years there really haven't been a lot of "big" games. (Duke, Michigan State, Louisville to name some..). I love talking about recruits but it is so much better to talk about the current team and a possible tournament run. I really hope they give us something to talk about in these next few weeks and in the future!

That was one thing I was hoping Archie would bring to the table...success in the Big Ten Tournament.
-
I don't anymore. More of a podcast guy going to work now.

I was a big Mike and Mike listener years ago and I remember (I think 2007)they were upset that IU was a 7 seed and Texas Tech was a 10 seed and they were in different regions. Never understood why they didn't choose that matchup. But please, let's have another IU-UK matchup.
-
That is what I'm seeing this morning from a lot of these mock brackets. We could even avoid Dayton which would be nice. It all comes down to the fact that IU has some good wins and they are playing well at the end of the season. I just don't think at team like Belmont should be in over us. Mainly because they haven't beaten anybody and I think IU would beat them by 10-15 points.
-
Agree. With the way this team is playing they can make a deep run. They may have an 11 or 12 in front of their name come tournament time but it won't matter much. Have to beat Ohio State though. I think IU is in if they do that. If not, it will be close.
-
It is amazing how he differs with Lunardi. I'll pay more attention to this guy.
-
Saw this somewhere else. Said this guy was the #1 "Bracketologist" last year. Has IU as an 11 seed with a bye. https://bracketville.wordpress.com/bracketology/

Joe updated his this morning. IU is the first team out. Ohio State is the last team in. Buckle up. It will be an exciting week.

I've seen Lander a few times in person. He is good but not 5 star good if that makes any sense. I hope he sticks around one more year in Evansville. It will be interesting to see how he develops. I hope he is better than his brothers. -
He will update it tomorrow and most likely everyday this week. Not sure why he hasn't updated it today.

Juwan Morgan Appreciation Thread
HoosierFan1994 replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I know this is off topic but I'll keep it short. I remember selection sunday that year thinking "oh Sh!T" we are in trouble if we play Syracuse. Sure enough... -
Juwan Morgan Appreciation Thread

Now that you got me thinking.. mine would be Yogi, Jordan, Victor, Christian, and Zeller with Sheehey as the 6th man. Man, if they all would have played together at some point...oh wait.. In all seriousness, Juwan is a heck of a player. Played a big role as a freshman, developed his sophomore and junior seasons. Kept this season alive as well. He deserves a deep run.
