    If I Could Add...

Except Edwards has not proven himself at the PG position. Edwards is good, but it is yet to be determined how he will translate to the PG position, he played the 2 most of last year

    IUWBB 2018-19 Schedule

Guessing for starters Patberg and Wise slide in for Buss and Cahill. Really interested to see the improvement in Warthen and Marchese and how Berger fits in as one of the highest rated recruits ever to sign at IU. Think Gulbe could be an X factor and this team will be fun to watch

Again I think calling her a "glue player" greatly understates her contributions to the program. I could argue that she is the second best player ever to wear an IU uniform. Will be in the top 4 on career list for scoring, rebounding (potentially 2nd in both) and blocked shots. Add to this, the team success with her here has been the best 4 year run in program history. Her 328 career assists just miss the top 10 (Kim Land in 10th at 341) and her 184 steals place her 8th with a chance to move into 7th with 1 more. She has had a GREAT career that many times goes underappreciated because she is playing with Tyra. With that said, not sure either is as productive without the other, but I think just about everyone would consider Tyra to be the best to play here, but Amanda could easily be considered number 2, and absolutely needs to be recognized in the top 5

just had this conversation with someone, but has there ever been a player at IU in any sport more overlooked/under appreciated than Cahill? It is possible she finishes her career as the #2 all time scorer (more that likely ends 4th if we make the final, but 2 is a possibility), #2 all time rebounder, and #4 in blocks. It can be argued that she is the 2nd best player in the history of the program, and all we hear about is Tyra. Obviously Tyra is the best one to play here, and has career records for scoring, assists and steals, but what Cahill has done deserves to be celebrated as well.

If she were Crean we would probably have a much better record right now because there is about a zero chance our SOS would be 12 right now (RPI, 24 in sagarin), probably closer to 50 with a few NC gimmies in there

OK so top 6, not that big 6 her fresh year, big difference. I think there are many on here that forget just how good she was before the injury and then other health issues last year. Another year post surgery to give her body a chance to recover and she has the potential to be REALLY REALLY good. I mean she was a National Player of the Year in HS (by some pubs) in a class that included Katie Lou Samulson and Naphesia Collier from UCONN, Asia Durr at Louisville, Maybrey and Ogunbowale at ND among others.

There was plenty of talk in SB that she was looking really good early in the preseason and had been running with the 1st group at practices early on. I mean she was a national player of the year in HS and does a lot more that stand around and dribble!!!! With a rotation next year with Patberg, Wise, Royster, Penn, Yeaney, Berger, Marchase, Warthen, Wickware if she gets stronger, and potentially the foreign kid we will be much deeper and more experienced than we are this year and that will absolutely help, especially when you consider only one of those 10 will be a senior

If you think next year will be awful, you have not been paying attention. I believe next year we will have the 3 highest rated recruits EVER for the women's program. We had never had a 5 star recruit prior to Penn this year and next year we will have 3 on the floor with Penn, Berger coming in and Patberg eligible after the transfer. Obviously Patberg could be a question mark with her past health issues, but she is a monster if she is 100% healthy (I believe she was going to be starting at ND as a fresh before the ACL injury). Wise will give us numbers similar to Cahill as well. So we lose obviously two of the top 10 kids ever to suit up, but add a former HS player of the year, a 5 star recruits, and an all conference kid from Pitt--2 of which will be 4th year players. Add another year of development for Penn and Yeaney, and the future is very bright

ND xfer PG, Now Assistant Coach Ali Patberg to IUWBB

Really, going to ask if there is a need for a former national player of the year and McDAA??? You go after both HARD, they would be perfect to slide in after Buss and Cahill graduate and if Patberg gets game and confidence back after the injuries it would be an upgrade at both spots. Obviously Ali is from the area and played at Columbus and with Boley from just outside of Louisville and 2 of Louisvilles top players committed to the Hoosiers the next 2 years that could be a selling point to her. Yes we should have room, had an open spot last year, lost 6 and bringing in 5, so should have 2 open right now

    Boley leaving ND

Just a thought, does anyone know if Penn or Berger ever played any AAU ball with her? Figure with Penn and Berger both being from Louisville and Boley being from Elizabethtown there has to be some connection or at least familiarity with each other. Boley was a McDAA and Penn both being top 50 recruits as well there would have to some sort of connection with them you would think. I know it is a long shot probably but would be nice to see those 3 running together for 3 years!!! Of course that said she will probably end up at UCONN!!!!
