15-10 is a soft 15-10 with our strength of schedule. They would be 6-10 in the Big 10…. 8-10 against teams from Bigger conferences. If you break it down it gets worse.

If that were the case I hope a statement within the athletic office is released stating Woodson will be retiring at season’s end or is canned after that 10th game. 15-10….. With the roster IU has after the season they had last year… It would be time to go. Personally if this team goes on a losing streak here I think they will pack it in.

What’s wrong with him is we forget at times he’s our best offensive weapon and we tell him to stand on the wing or corner. They don’t set plays for him to try to get flow early. When he does score gets pulled because “Mike Woodson does what Mike Woodson wants.” The end of the game when he had 7 points in like that 2/3 minute stretch instead of building the confidence and helping him get his feel back we pull him for the remaining 7 minutes. Proceeding to score like 2 points the next 3-3:30 minutes.

Which is why I never thought they would lose this bad. Let’s be for real if this IU team plays up tempo teams with decent shooters they will get blown out. Myles Rice for all the bad mistakes he makes… He makes a lot of things happen on offense. The game when he gets 2 early fouls happens… IU will lose. I’ve watched enough games this year to say our offense when he’s off the court is so bad. Carlyle is an issue and I don’t understand how Woody doesn’t put a stop to it. Tonight in the Iowa game once he made those first 2 shots I knew he would shoot it 10+ times because he is the ultimate ME guy. The moment he comes in and takes the lead guard position from Rice we have no flow on offense and Carlyle will shoot it until he’s pulled back off the court. Having that type of guard running our offense in the 2nd unit is so frustrating. The ball completely stops moving the minute he enters the game. Honestly our Lineups at times when it’s Him Galloway Mgbako Tucker Hatton is so hard to understand. Mgbako is buried on a wing or corner… Tucker is waiting to get his hands on the ball to shoot. Carlyle doesn’t pass… Galloway is just standing waiting for the ball to drive and show off pass.

IF IU loses both games next week IU will be 13-6. If I were the AD knowing the margin of error is slim and the chances of the tourney dwindling or even being competitive in the tourney. I would probably use next weekend to go over my options and make a plan in action go into place. I would establish an expectation goal and tell my coach look you’re 13-6… Here is the goal if you would like to remain HC at this University.

I never thought we would lose by 25 going into the game. I truly thought this team turned a corner. Illinois is do or die. They lose that we know what will happen next the L train will come through

We are what we are.. NIT team is the floor 8/9 ceiling. Nothing special… Will probably do enough this season to have a “good looking record.” We all know this team isn’t winning anything special.

Our potential is severely lowered because of our coach and roster build. We are just going to be stuck on the floor of this team. IU will win a couple big ones but also will get blown out or look terrible other games. When the going gets tough this team has no style of play that can match numerous 10-0,12-0 runs in games.
