  1. And Cuse really doesn’t have as much to offer in comparison. A 47-year era just came to an end. Melo was one and done under Boeheim but has way more experience, and likely more of a relationship, with Woody. IU is on an upward trajectory; Syracuse is TBD. If it would come down to that two horse race I’d take those odds. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  3. Joe Mazzulla had best have his CV updated. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. I just cannot with Grant Williams. He looks like an overgrown toddler. And now that makes sense after he got spanked for mouthing off to his daddy after hitting one three. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. Lining himself up to be the next Gilbert Arenas.

  8. I read it as a simple reiteration of the previously known visit schedule. Friday could take a long time to get here for UL.
  9. However, he decommitted from Duke due to role and roster fit. He may have chosen Duke more so because “Duke”. Not saying he doesn’t have a close connection to his recruiter, but I don’t know that it’s a major pull one way vs another considering the role he’s seeking and UL still having a ceiling I could bump my head on. 11. Dadgum IG. I don’t have it and I refuse to get any more socials. Why can’t he just use the tweeter machine? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. Oof. That’s a tall glass of irony. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. It’s ok. He kind of earned it since he said the Cardinals were a better organization as soon as he left the Cubs. Which, he’s not necessarily wrong, but that’s an unnecessary dagger to the Cubs faithful who backed him fiercely. I might be bitter [emoji28] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  17. The dichotomy here is fascinating. lol If you’re like me the first post was likely when it felt like a Levis pick was inevitable. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. This post is not panicky enough and has undertones of positivity and player development. I’m afraid you’re in the wrong thread. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. For me there wasn’t. But that’s just my opinion. I just never felt he had the mentality required. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. I literally sat and laughed while watching this. I don’t mind Colin but that is astoundingly horrendous. There was never, EVER a time when Ben Simmons was close to looking, feeling, or being like one of those “guys”. Whew. The only similarity he has with Magic and MJ now is the current minutes per game. 21. Just Sunday-night-bored scrolling and I’ll just say the notion of a 63 year old long-time NBA guy coming to coach his extremely restless alma mater as a first-time college coach is a display of stones, plain and simple. The notion that he should have walked into that situation and: -told two players to stay and the rest to walk -then recruited the rest of his talent from a newly born transfer portal -while concomitantly dealing with the wild Wild West of the NIL -after never having recruited high schoolers to begin with is ridiculous and really easy to postulate in hindsight. Even in hindsight it’s still ridiculous because I, everyone’s brother, and everyone’s brother’s girlfriends know Woody’s head would be on the public chopping block heading into year 3. Instead, he made progress in years one AND two. As much as we’d all love the success of this program to be a linear rise, it won’t be. Most things in life aren’t. The outlook of this team being a bottom dweller because we missed some portal kids also falls in the aforementioned ‘ridiculous’ category. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  22. Being better than the seasons before him. Realistically that’s where the goals of the program needed to be. If the point of this was to undermine the work of his first two seasons by getting someone to admit we did not compete for a final four, title, etc then your expectations may have been unrealistic and Cinderella-ish. 23. Maybe we can start a separate thread for the doom and gloom discussion. A few of my working thread titles this morning: -2023-24 Panic Button -The Sky Has Fallen, And Not In The Cool James Bond Way -The Portal Has Destroyed Our Lives -Christmas Sucked Because I Didn’t Get Every Toy I Asked Woody For This Year Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
