Coach Cig has experience with a culture of winning at multiple programs. This completely makes sense because he fully understands what it takes from top to bottom and all things in between. Hopefully this all pans out for us IUFB faithful, we have been yearning for a taste of success.

Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!

He fully expects a winning record this season. And I won't be the least bit surprised if he accomplishes that task. -
When asked about his biggest challenge, he responded with a five-word answer. “Changing the way people think,” Cignetti said.

Here's my breakdown. Keep in mind, I believe every game is winnable, but that's just me. Can go our way FIU Western Illinois Charlotte Northwestern MSU Purdue Possible Maryland Nebraska Questionable UCLA Washington Long Shots Michigan OSU Some of y'all will probably disagree with some of this and that totally makes sense. The Possible and Questionable category teams can easily be thrown into a hat. I broke them down based on home or away games. And I just added Washington because DeBoer is no longer heading the ship. If we go into October with only one loss that means we knocked off either Maryland or UCLA or both. And if that happens, buckle up, our conference season is going to fun to watch. Now if we go into October with only two wins than we're in for a long season but not out of the ordinary for IUFB. I strongly feel good things happening this season for IUFB where heads will turn and Coach Cig possibly winning Big Ten Coach of the Year. Or at least I want to believe that. On the other hand I won't be shocked if we don't win 6 games. I will be disappointed and surprised if he don't win 5 games. Just my two cents.

I now see six games that can go our way, two questionable games and the rest complete long shots.

Absolutely wild DeBoer will be HC at Bama. Hope it works out for him because I'd love to see IUFB beat his ars for the Natty! ;-)

Kirby to the Falcons is a rumor floating around as well. If true, that just means there's a major shift in the SEC. Also, the timing on all of it (12 team playoff, NIL, conference expansion, etc.) makes it look like these coaches are bailing out. Looking forward to IUFB this season folks.

If it were up to me I'd make it a 68 team playoff! LOL
-
I'm glad to know IUFB played in the toughest division and lost to the best team in the country. I'm looking forward to the expanded playoff to shut up ESPN and folks like Finebaum about their beloved SEC. I'm predicting less titles from the SEC going forward.

It was me. Wow! I honestly didn't expect this.

Made updates to the list. Transfer rankings has us as high as 4 and as low as 29.

This seems to be what I'm hearing/reading a lot. Admittedly I know nothing about it and just go with the flow if that makes sense.

I certainly understand your point of view. I tend to agree with you actually. The only reason I brought it up is because now NIL is a variable and it's probably a little more complicated making the decision. I know personally, when someone knocks on my door, I always answer it. Even though I am perfectly happy at my place of employment. But that's just me. I don't know anything about the whole NIL/Portal combo and would really like to hear from someone with the know. That way I could get a little more educating on the subject if that makes sense. Hovadipo brought up another variable regarding a new coach coming in as well. During the signing day presser Coach Cig mentioned he wanted to weed out the players he didn't think fit for him. Dunnam might actually be one of those players he just didn't want on the team. Who knows. I guess my point was that it might not be all that simple in the grand scheme of things. That's all.

Man, that's probably a lot easier said than done. I can't imagine what is going through these players heads when making the decision to shop the market. It'll be interesting to here from folks in the know about the process and what kind of advise is being given.

Not for long. ;-)
