  1. Spot on. If you had the extra day I would have told you to head down to Laguna Beach or head up to Santa Barbara for some wine tasting. LOL!
  2. Basketball might warrant this. I couldn't tell you how many times I spoke to UCLA fans about hoops out there.
  3. @DChoosier a great synopsis of your experience. I was there as well. I didn't do the "IU Bar" tent but did tailgate on the golf course. We had UCLA fans on one side of us and fellow IU fans on the other. I missed the first drive but was walking through my seat section tunnel when we scored our first TD. My crew were a bunch of California alums and they tend to just take their sweet ars time with things. That was probably the only negative thing about the whole trip. I plan on making the trip out there every time IUFB plays in Southern California. Looking forward to experiencing the Coliseum in 2027. I might even do some IUBB games out there as well. Pasadena is a great town out there. Next time you go I also recommend South Bay (the Manhattan Beach/Hermosa Beach area).
  4. Good football teams beat who they are supposed to beat pretty handedly. That wasn't the case with Coach Lynch.
  5. We need to get used to a Cignetti coached QB being discussed for post season accolades, including the Heisman. "Change the way people think." -Coach Cig
  6. I was there and it was awesome! Moving Washington out of the Questionable into the Possible. IUFB -28.5 vs Charlotte
  7. Even if Flordia wanted him, I don't think he leaves. He's here for a reason. He already left a job that he fully intending on retiring from. While Flordia is an enticing job he would be leaving a job that's in his full control with the backing of the administration. I doubt Florida admins would let go of the reins like he would demand. He's ours guys and we need to embrace this and support the poop out of his team. The only thing I'm 'worried' about is when Haines, Shanahan, Sunseri, etc. etc. go (because they will), will he hire the right coaches to fit in and win. But honestly, I'm not that worried.
  8. Everyone just settle down. We haven't even played 4 games yet. Plus this whole idea that we somehow aren't able to get into the ring to fight is absurd. I'll say it again, if all of this takes place and he goes elsewhere it won't be because IU didn't throw him everything and the kitchen sink. And our kitchen sink is a pretty effin' big sink.
  9. Man, I didn't have this type of conversation on my bingo card after 3 games. @GnarlyTimGarl these are all good problems to have. Which is rare. I don't recall it ever happening to IUFB. The day IU hired him was the day I knew the administration was serious about turning around the program. IU will handle these situations if they come. Whitten and Dolson fully understand the importance of revenue and how much of an impact that is when IUFB is successful. It trickles down to all other sports at IU, including basketball. Whitten has already done a lot for the football program and I have faith they'll do all that they can to keep him in B-town. If he were to go elsewhere it won't be because IU didn't offer him the bag. And if he does go, I have faith IU will hire another solid football coach. Hopefully, at some point, the IUFB job will be coveted. I believe that's the goal for the current situation. They're in it to win it. Most importantly though, IUFB is a solid fit for Coach Cig because they both have something to prove. I want to believe he's here to see this through. And wants to build a program and leave a legacy. He told everyone in his first presser that he's got to change the way people think. And he's doing just that after 3 effin' games.
  10. Attended the game and just basically told everyone and everybody that would listen that, "I told you this team is different and coached like something you're not used to seeing." I finally got some believers. Buckle up folks, enjoy the ride and support the eff out of this team. ESPN Matchup Predictor has IUFB 11-1. "Change the way people think." -Coach Cig
  11. Players do care about the history of a program and someone's or something's resume. There's a reason why Coach Riley is at USC and I don't think it's because of his special teams skills. People in general care about the history of fill in the blank. For example, I typically care about a potential place of employment's history and consider that when 'accepting' a job from them. USC and Coach Riley went through an interview process and I'm certain both knew each other's history.
  12. 4.7 earthquake near Malibu. IUFB is coming to town baby!
  13. Umm.... Source As of 2023, Alabama and Purdue are tied for first in producing the most number of Super Bowl winning quarterbacks.[1] As of September 2017, the top five universities in terms of the most NFL quarterback passing yards were 219,064 for Purdue, 183,296 for Notre Dame, 157,855 for USC, 152,627 for Stanford and 142,524 for Washington.[2] On November 18, 2012, The Wall Street Journal reported that, "Purdue may be the ultimate Quarterback U. Since the 1970 merger (between the AFL and NFL), quarterbacks from Purdue have started 724 NFL games, easily the most of any major-conference program." After Purdue QBs' 724 NFL games, the next best schools were the University of Washington (623 starts), Miami (573), University of Southern California (547) and Notre Dame (543).[3]
  14. Yeah there's going to be a good IUFB crowd there, myself included. I'm bringing, +11 to the game. Most UCLA games have a decent representation from the visiting team. I think this year especially because it's the first year in the conference. But it's kind of always been like that for them.
  15. Well, that was quick.

  17. Maybe it's graded by sacks allowed or who was blocking who? It's possible they personally did a good job but man, it didn't look like they did a good job at pass protection as a unit, to me at least.
  18. https://x.com/IndianaFootball/status/1831034840072024144 I'm just going to say it. I don't understand how. To me, it appeared Rourke was pressured a lot. Maybe they were due to secondary coverage? Or Rourke not seeing the field good enough?
  19. In Old Town! That place is a must see if you're ever in Scotland.
  20. Blowout win and yet it felt like the offense was really sloppy for about half of the game. They probably or should have scored a couple more times at least. The front five has to get better at pass protection. Rourke was pressured a lot and some how managed to only get sacked twice. Having said that, they got 400+ yards against an FBS opponent, they did that once last year, so they already matched that. It was their best 1qtr against an FBS opponent in almost 2 years. And they had more yards and first downs against any FBS opponent last year. Defense is solid, 4 sacks, 1 takeaway, and 8 tackles for loss. They were flying around to the ball. A nice athletic unit. They're good there. Guys not discussed during the off season stepped up as well. I'm concerned about our FG range. Looked like Coach Cig might not have confidence in 40+ yard attempts. Who knows.
  21. He's one of those guys I can see getting all kinds of action this season that will payoff for him come draft day.
  22. If Rourke stays healthy he's gonna be a problem for B1G defenses. Dude's got a some solid arm strength.
  23. Totally understand. I can just see the difference in talent and fundamentals. We'll be just fine.
