Your joking right? Lets not just go off the last shot. He had 2 other chances to find a better look each of those. Putting your head down with less than 10 seconds is never a good idea. We can agree to disagree but that was selfish. Regardless how good he played it wasnt just him. He didnt set the screens for himself or box out guys to get the offensive rebound off those shots and he didnt guard all 5 guys each possession. I never understand that argument from people. IDC if you drop 80 points. Lamelo Ball just scored however many and they barely won. He scored 15 the next game and they won by 30. Scoring isnt the only thing that wins games man. Cause a good defense requires constant competitiveness and hustle. That is fun for anyone who truly loves basketball. If it takes waiting 2 or 3 extra weeks to get Billy D you wait. If he is definitely not coming though you need to get Bennett. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -

It dont matter what he did if he loses it for them at the end. Missing a bad shot happens. Forcing one up then throwing up a prayer with 10 seconds left still and then dribbles for 3 seconds trying to get space when they had 2 guys open does no one any good. I am sure those kids knowing they lose probably pick losing by 10 then losing that way. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Exactly they were swept and badly in their own building without KD even. You could see it in Billys body language. Add the Spurs who arent going anywhere. The Rockets, T Wolves will get going eventually, Blazers are right there with OKC. Clippers wont go away no matter who leaves they will spend the money. I shared that earlier. If not for Browns sanctions at SMU it wouldnt be the worst idea. I would take that combo over a guy or two people want. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Earl Watson is a name that is thrown around right now IF Alford left. If people think UCLA can wait till Watson is done why cant we be patient and wait an extra week for Billy D? Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Gotlieb said that a week ago. Not happening. If they were only willing to get a coach for 2.5 million 4 is probably the highest they would go now. UCLA makes a lot of money and has the UA deal coming next year but 4 years ago Alford was the highest guy they really went after. Something about them doesnt attract the coaching guys that should be interested. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -

This is actually well put. Once Ryan got Dekker and some high 3 star low 4 star even type kids his program took off. Bennett just got a very good class last year but you cant go off of 1 year to judge him off that. If he was getting a few high stars sprinkled with a 5 star then he would be great here. Fife at his side is a sure thing to make coaching a strength against pretty much anyone we would face. Michael Porter put UVA in his top 4 too after backing out from UW. Obviously he is going to Mizzou but telling he added them to his list. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Didnt know one bad game means you take them out completely down the stretch. Forde just put him in the first round for a reason. You dont see that to often. Hard to question Belein but that game was there for them. They prevent just one of those offensive boards they win. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Walton has to go to the rim on that one!! Or baseline where his jumper is his best spot. Walton is the guy you want to shoot Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Boucher was one of the few difference makers around college ball. He is a OG type guy down low. Also could step out and hit the 3. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -

I think the Mack talk is a joke to be frank. He is from Cincinnati he is a Xavier alum as well. If they give him a pay raise he is staying. He would use us to get that if anything in my book. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -

Media have put it out there like these are the real candidates and as of now. Billy D Scott Skiles sigh Dane Fife sign Tony Bennett Steve Alford Chris Mack Mike Woodson & Larry Brown no Mike White Gregg Marshall Kinda surprising Archie hasnt been mentioned more than MAYBE once and that was during the Dayton and WSU game timeframe. This weekend should pick up steam. Candidates being out and Thunder being off for a few days is perfect timing to get details aligned to come here IF he wants. Im sure it has been seen but I have been at work all week so that means I havent been able to stalk this board like I would like. Mike Woodson reached out to IU saying he was a package deal with Larry Brown. IU isnt interested though but how the heck did those 2 end up campaigning for jobs together? Another point to go with BD is Oladipo, Kanter, Westbrook and Adams account for 90 million starting next year. That leaves 10 million to build the rest of the roster. Kanter could be traded but that gets them maybe one more good to great player. They could go over and pay the luxury but do they wanna do that knowing they probably aint making a serious run? IMO they wanted Oladipo and Adams along with Sabonis to build around and take what they get back from RW to go w it. A lot of reasons he would wanna leave. This happens to be one of the top ones. Just listened to pretty much every IU podcast possible from the last 2 days and here is my conclusion. If our search last until mid next week our guy is Billy D. There seems to be a thing about us not wanting to wait if it really could happen. Sorry but Billy D could gladly do 2 jobs for a few weeks. It would honestly help him when it came to his OKC team a lot and us knowing who the guy is. If Billy D is thinking of leaving then his heart isnt truly in it. Him accepting the job and finishing up he knows he has no pressure and that is a great situation in the NBA. Most these guys feel like they have to do this or that to keep their job sides the Spoelstras and Popovichs and Stevens who are easily the top 3 guys in the NBA. Scott Brooks is pretty safe too as well as Lue. Besides that the NBA is a revolving door. I saw a stat today that most 1st time coaches in the last 20 years have lasted 3.2 years lol. That is a lot of coaches in that span. Him coming here in the offseason means he can afford not to be here everyday either. He could call a few kids and plan on visits to come watch them in a few weeks. Come Monday he could be 3 weeks from his season ending. If we wait that long as is there is no reason we cant wait at least another week or two if he is our guy. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app -
