IU was just handed a potential lifeline to the Big Ten Title. Maryland won again today so it looked like they had all but wrapped up the Big Ten Title with just one loss and only garbage PSU to go. However, the Big Ten just rescheduled Maryland and Michigan on Thursday (according to both teams websites) which is absolutely a game Maryland could lose meaning IU clinches a share if they win both of their games. They would still be the 2 seed in Big Ten Tourney but would get a piece of the trophy. Furthermore game is in Ann Arbor where Wolverines have not lost this year. Would still favor Maryland as they are a cut above everyone, but if anyone can beat Maryland it's Michigan (or maybe IU or Rutgers in Big Ten Tourney).

Well Minny just burst their bubble. So we are looking at only 8 teams for Big Ten after all of this if MSU does not make it. Big Ten not as strong at bottom as some thought apparently.

Don't think Patterson or Browne make much difference but they have done all of this without Penn and no bench (although arguably the best starting lineup in conference). Truly a special team.

What a win! No one would of blamed IU for losing this game but instead they made a 14-0 run worthy of a champion in last few minutes to go up 10 and then close it out with FT's. Now we just need to win either of our last two for second place and can clinch Big Ten Title if Maryland loses to NW tomorrow and we win out. This team is clearly among the elite in the country and probably up to at least a three seed in NCAA tourney and can move to a 2 by getting to Big Ten Tourney Final. Hell a one seed in play if we beat Maryland in Big Ten Tournament Championship.

Really bad finish to the third qtr and IU trails by 5 into 4th. Much like last game when we played them OSU getting stronger as game goes on. Really glad they are banned from postseason play as they look to me like second best team in conference besides Maryland but now don't have to deal with them after today. OSU hit a lot of 3's late in third and IU has not scored from field in several min. Win the last two and this game matters zero from a Big Ten perspective. May need to get to Big Ten Tourney Final just to get a 3 seed in NCAA Tournament. Otherwise a four seed.

Frustrating quarter so far as IU still up 3 at media timeout. Letting OSU hang around which is not surprising but lots of missed opportunities including three straight FT's by Patberg when fouled on a 3.

I don't get Wisconsin. They have been by far most disappointing team this year and entirely senior led and pretty much everyone who plays is a senior. Everytime you think you can trust Gard he disappoints and seems to do better without expectations which depending on who leaves could be very low next yr.

IU stretched the lead to 9 late in the first half but OSU came back with two 3's in the final five seconds to cut deficit to three. Would expect a close game given how good OSU is. Buckeyes have really struggled on road lately since beating us, but are undefeated at home this season.

Game has been back and forth. IU has led by as many as 6 but right now up 1 midway through second qtr. At times game has been a sluggish defensive battle and at others an up and down back and forth score fest.

I agree with what you are saying mostly but don't think we need anymore validation and win or lose this one we will be no. 2 in conference if we win both our other games. Maryland's not losing again so we are pretty much a 2 seed in Big Ten Tourney win or lose today. Where this absolutely matters as you said is NCAA seeding and getting a 2, 3 or 4 seed is huge and win today could make a big difference there.

Why in world are they letting OSU wear Grey and IU White. That's really confusing.

Not confident on this one but as I said we can lose it and still be 2nd place in Big Ten if we win our last two. This game is basically for NCAA Tourney seeding and little else with OSU banned from Big Ten Tourney. Unless Maryland loses which is extremely unlikely we are going to be 2nd in conference and 2 seed in Big Ten Tourney win or lose this game.

Game is on BTN+ (subscription of course which I know many do not have but I do). Reason games are in Florida is weather. While it is nice now today it could of easily been 30 and snowing and Big Ten moved them to warm climate to ensure they could be played with no cancellations.

Maryland would be 16-1. They will only play one less game than us and beat us earllier. If they finish 16-1 and us 16-2 they are legit champs. By same token if they somehow lose to NW and finish 15-2 and us 16-2 I believe we would be co-champs with them awarded one seed based on head to head win but not positive.

Michigan got absolutely massacred by Iowa tonight in a game that was delayed five hours by a false positive test with Covid. This means we clinch 2nd place going just 2-1 down the stretch. Maryland however also blew out Purdue so very unlikely we catch them which we already knew. Looking like a 2nd place finish now most likely in Big Ten and just playing for a higher seed in NCAA tourney. A win over OSU may move us to a 3 and if we win out and get to Big Ten Tourney final against Maryland maybe a 2. Would love to be a 2 or 3 and avoid one seed till Elite 8. I think we lock up at least a 4 seed by beating Iowa, Purdue and one game in Big Ten tourney. In terrific shape overall thanks to our play and other losses around us.
