I don't want to lose to anyone period! And no, a win against a mid major, is just a win against a mid major. A better win in our eyes, but doesn't do a damned thing in the committee's eyes. A loss to any school inside of our state hurts the program in far many ways than in just the loss column. And you are certainly correct. We should not be afraid to play anyone inside our borders. In fact, anyone. But don't compare us to Duke. We are not on that level...yet. BTW Army, Stetson, Eastern Michigan, Princeton, Hartford, Yale all teams that Duke had on their schedule last season against ZERO other in-state schools not in the ACC.

In-state cupcakes provide a higher chance of a bad loss! We've seen this again and again. They have more to play for than a Portland St.

I never stated that the majority of posters or posts were negative. A collective is not the majority of posters. It is a percentage whether large or small. If you read the post that I was referring to, you will see that a recruit decided to attend somewhere else rather than IU. Because that recruit did not choose us, it was inferred that our program was "low". This negative opinion was completely unfounded based on the fact that he was never even seriously recruited. I don't have a problem with the negative opinions if there is foundation for it.

I'm referring to the temperament of recent posts throughout all topics of this forum. Not by an individual, but as a collective. To say that there has NOT been an over abundance of this negativer banter since the end of the season, and primarily in the recruiting threads would be entirely untrue.

Great that he likes the Pacers and tries to model himself after Bird. Though not necessarily IU, he keeps it fron his state.

This is the kind of response that I have come to expect here lately on these forums. How low are we? We didn't even actively recruit this kid. I wouldn't exactly say we lost out on a kid that went to mid level, power 5 school, that we spent minimal time and resourses on.

I'm hedging my bets on UK. Cal is a good salesman, and Blackshear wants to make it in the NBA. He is a good enough player to get plenty of floor time in Lexington. May give up some shots, but that hasn't stopped the dozens of top recruits that has went there. Cal tells them straight up that is all about the show. Plus he has a real nice pro day for Scouts every season.

Until a commitment, the staff will NOT stop watching this team. Word from Bloomington this past weekend is that CAM is really high on Kaufman.

Might not be as bad as some think. Development of chemistry with Terrence Clarke might just benefit us. Clarke has made several visits to Bloomington on his own dime. I believe that there is positive interest there.
