  1. I️ was thinking the validity of this statement would be AWESOME. One can hope! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  3. Based on that picture with Langford, I would guess 10. I've already ordered it to beat the rush.
  4. I think most people would be disappointed for a small amount of time, but would get past it once we realize (again) we are in tremendous hands.
  5. As my friends "Impractical Jokers" once said...it's only creepy if you get caught...
  6. Yeah, that's what I was wondering. Don't have facebook, so I would love for it to be live streamed on ESPNU or something
  7. That's very well said. I completely agree and, while it took me a while to realize that Crean didn't value possessions or taking good shots as long as the volume was high, once I did, I dreaded watching some of those games. CAM will take the team back to focusing on fundamentals. Being from the Dayton area, I paid somewhat close attention to his teams for no other reason than tickets were relatively inexpensive and the stadium was 25 minutes from my house. Really excited to finally have someone that is willing and able to change the culture of what Indiana basketball is perceived to be as of late.
  8. I'm sure I just missed it, but HOW is he announcing? going to be streamed on facebook live? an ESPN affiliate?
  9. Guys, blue OBVIOUSLY means he's going to MTSU...
  10. I don't get BTN so I decided to splurge for a month subscription to BTNPlus to watch tonight's game.
  11. Taking the possibility of illegal recruiting out, there have been a number of players in the top 20 (just to use an easy number) that have not gone to traditional "blue bloods:" 2017: 6 top 20 recruits to non-traditional blue bloods 2016: 5 recruits 2015: 10 recruits 2014: 3 Edit: Sorry for the edit, hit 'submit' before i was finished.
  12. bad examples? I'm not sure how any example is 'bad' but I will agree with you that it is MORE likely top recruits still go to blue bloods, but less likely than it used to be..that's all I was trying to convey.
  13. Yeah, I think that would also be a big boost for players to know that FANS know who is practicing the best. Could also eventually be some "15 minutes of fame" for lesser minute guys...
  14. I agree with this. Kids that grow up as fans of certain schools, blue bloods or not, often don't go there and ANY school can get you into the NBA as we've seen, especially in a power 5 conference. Yes, some top recruits that go to non-traditional schools (Simmons to LSU, Porter to Mizzou) DO have connections, but with today's marketing and media coverage, it is MUCH more about being comfortable with the coach, being in a system that highlights a players strengths and (to some degree) winning.
  15. I really want to start seeing some under classmen hold the jersey more. I think this could be very telling of their maturity in the game, system and overall possible impact in game-time minutes. Seniors/upperclassmen, in my head, SHOULD be the better practicers(?) on our team, but if we can see the younger guys stepping up, we could really see some improvement in our on-court product.
  16. I'm not sure if this has been talked about much, but I LOVE the golden jersey competition and the positive aspects of challenging our players to not make mistakes AND THEN REWARDING THEM FOR DOING SO. I feel like this is a tremendous example of how CAM is able to motivate his guys to seriously consider how they play and to make the best possible play and not always the 'flashy' one (something I think happened far too often under the previous regime). Just wanted to get a post going about this to possibly keep track of the winners of the golden jersey and to see if those that have it really do thrive/improve in actual games. So far, to my knowledge, the winners of the jersey have been Green, Morgan and Johnson (although I might be missing others)..

  18. While I at first didn't think it was a great sign for him to announce during our game, my father in law (a Kentucky fan) stated that Keldon Johnson is announcing tomorrow during the UK football game and is (presumably) picking UK. I know it's slightly different because its a different sports game at the same time, but relatively similar. Could just be the only time that worked...we will have media down there regardless of what else was going on... I'm holding out hope, although it is starting to falter slightly.
  19. Garland is the alpha of these two?? Wow. I don’t think the Langford’s would let ANYONE dictate where their son goes to college. Garland and Shittu may end up at Vandy, but Romeo won’t. Write that down. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. would like an update if anything new is shared. Thanks in advance!
  21. I go back and forth, but I am holding onto hope that it will be Indiana in the end. Let's get him in that #10 jersey!
  22. Very true--with our crimson colored glasses, it appears that quote is Pro-IU; however, it could easily have been said with the reverse implication. I'm hoping it will be tomorrow just for my own sake of knowing one way or the other!
  23. Matt is a decent reporter as far as BBN is concerned, that's true.
  24. I looked on KSR's website and couldn't find anything that led to this. Didn't listen to anything if it was an audio mention...care to share direct link?
