  1. I was upset initially about the hire, but after my first day or two of disappointment I really started to come around and reading up on former coaches and players talk about woody. I have to say I am on the woody wagon and watching this championship game has me very optimistic as to what our team can be. So much up and down the court, solid defense, multiple 3 point shooters. I think we are in for some exciting basketball again. If everyone returns I think Woodys new system can help with getting their confidence back as they’ll just be playing more instead of running sets and think we do have some solid shooters on the team that just haven’t found their rhythm and confidence. I am ready for the 2021-2022 season to start now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. You know you can lift weights and not bulk up right? Teams 100% lift during the season, good luck convincing the majority of coaches of any sports that a weight lifting program during season is wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sorry if this has been posted crazy trying to catch up on the thread. Anyone have any insight to who may have not attended? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Pure speculation and rumor o heard from someone today. Not sure I believe it, but how would we feel with Belein and Fife as the waiting position. Again I don’t know if I believe that but I would love that scenario. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Isnt he from Texas? Does he run to Texas Tech after this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I wasn’t trying to bash at all. If anything, I think I’m trying to say all eras are still way more similar than we Give each other credit for. We loved through different results, coaches, media outlets, technology, but our passion and pride and desire to win is all very very similar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The only thing I know for fact at this point is that dolson said on his PR that you will not hear from me until I introduce the new coach and I hope you respect that. And my goodness was he not kidding. So much random talk and rumors by message boards, local and National media, contradictory stories and reports. NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I’m 32. My first memories are sitting in a basement watching the mid to late 90s teams with my dad. Guyton, Patterson etc. my favorite team of all time is the 2001-2002 team. Loved every guy on that team. Outside of that run I haven’t seen any success other than random short runs. But I cheer my @$$ off and scream at the tv every night. My best friend has 3 young boys that can tell you the name and number of every player on the team. I think the older generation (not directed at you guys have no idea how old you are, just in general) I think they under estimate how much the younger generation and future generations are just as passionate. When people say it’s Indiana Basketball, it is. It’s not Bobby Knight basketball, it’s not 5 banner basketball. It’s the state of Indiana and how much meaning the sport holds to us, and we all want it to be successful no matter what era we grew up in. We want to win, we want to be proud of the flagship program that reflects our passion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. At least he has a sense of humor, solid gif selection Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I haven’t seen the lines, but + anything is not a favorite it’s the underdog. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. For those of us that don’t keep up with the NBA, this is how the trade deadline effects Boston Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. We have never had an “IU guy” I get tired of hearing this weak take. Knight was not an IU guy and his style of play has come and gone. The closest thing we had was Mike Davis, who knew what had been done at IU, and they didn’t pan out too well. We don’t need an IU guys or a this type of guy. We just need a guy who can win. I don’t care who he is or what style he prefers as long as he wins. Someone that can adapt, not all coaching styles work in every league or every division. He has to be able to adapt and be able to see what will work and execute that game plan and get his players to buy in and execute that game plan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hell, if we’re looking at Woodson or Calbert id rather have Lewis. -2 year graduate coach under knight -5 years at Butler worked under Brad Stevens, Holtmann, and Brandon Miller -Served as OC at Nebraska who saw their highest scoring average in 22 years -Now at UCLA Rather take a risk on that than either of the other two. 14. Sounds like we still can’t land any big fish, Just give me John Belein with Michael Lewis associate head coach ready to take over in 4-5 years and let’s get rolling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Fife isn’t leaving to go anywhere other than a Head Coach. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yes I know, I called Myself out for misreading. I’m stuck in the armpit of eastern kentucky for work reading all these updates on here and Twitter on a small @$$ phone while downing beers at the only local sports bar while watching the games. My apologies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Okay, touché didn’t see that part of it. My apologies Mr. Osterman, now I look dumb. Things get hard to read on a small phone when I’m sitting in the armpit of eastern kentucky for work and are multiple beers deep to be able to tolerate it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Sure you can take it that way. Osterman literally posted a tweet that said “sources to tell me....” and it’s still there and was the first one I saw being referenced and circulated. He corrected his false report, just as I am saying if he wasn’t the first my mistake. He still reported it so I used it as a reference to my point. The point being, national media is too quick to post stories just for recognition and likes and not facts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Okay my mistake, he was the frost report I saw that claimed “sources told me....” My point still stands, just insert someone else’s name. I highly doubt Scott Dolson personally told anyone anything until it was finalized. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Osterman looks pretty dumb here IMO for releasing info just to be the first one to release jt and immediately getting multiple reports his info never happened. But, unfortunately, that’s the world we live in. No one cares about facts just the like button (ps hit the like button on my post please, it’s what drives me) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Some people need to chill out. Went from I’m not believing anything else that’s rumored on Twitter because of Stevens to all of a sudden believing we signed a paraplegic. Dolson is obviously doing his homework, we haven’t hired anyone yet let’s all relax and let it play out before we jump off the cliff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. I stand corrected, maybe our pocket city ball did hear something from the evansvillle kid. If true I would assume we start hearing things tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I don’t think he’s connected at all. He’s the director and founder of pocket city basketball in the Evansville area. He likes to talk up area kids and posts lots of his personal opinion but I have never seen him to have any first hand knowledge of anything other than personal opinion stuff. I wouldn’t read too much in to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
