  1. So 13 fouls on IU in the first half and 9 on Penn State. Okay....
  2. To be fair, Stevens did actually commit his third. I don't think I've ever seen a worse 'I had the wrong guy' change ever.
  3. Did Archie Miller misspeak or is there already one known transfer leaving? https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-hoosiers-still-have-at-least-one-opening-to-fill-for-2020-class/
  4. bracketmatrix has us in the field in 90% of the brackets (84 of the 93) and as the second #11 seed. That would have us the first team above the last four in and not playing in a play in game.
  5. After Mike Roberts pounded a pot hole into the court near our bench. That's the only reason I can see for the technical they gave him.
  6. Oturu is averaging 20 and 11. TJD has had three games where he has put those numbers up. Oturu consistently puts up numbers.
  7. And when we draw those lines on the court to show where our players to go, it’s really easy to defend.
  8. Northern Iowa with a damaging loss at Indiana State.
  9. I completely get Pom and love his work. But the NCAA talking heads are obviously aware of his numbers when they are selecting teams and I've heard them mention his ratings. That's out and out wrong.
  10. Offensive and defensive efficiency are predictive but not reflective. Time for the NCAA tournament committee to get into the business of trying to reward teams and not predict future events. Ohio State currently is 17-8 with a KenPom SOS of 23. IU is 17-9 with a KenPom of SOS of 19. Yet Ohio State is ranked #9 on Pom and IU is #39.
  11. I just don't get why wins, losses, and SOS aren't the most important items. As I've said before, teams that have the same net points for/against will have the same basic efficiencies regardless of whether they go 1-9 or 9-1.....win one game by 18 and lose 9 by 1 point each yields the same result as winning 9 games by 1 point and losing one by 18. But tell me one fan that is experiences the about the same amount of happiness with a one point win as they do with a one point loss.
  12. Cincinnati and Georgetown hurt their resumes tonight as Cincy lost at home to Central Florida and Georgetown lost at home to Providence. Flip side NC State helped themselves out by beating Duke. SMU had a killer loss at Tulane.
  13. To be fair, tonight's The Journey starts out as a feature on Brunk but about 4 minutes in switches to a feature on Race Thompson.
  14. LOL. You obviously missed the irony I was going for.
  15. I said he was smiling. Went back at the video and saw that he wasn't. If you want to call me a liar because I was mistaken, the you can STFU.
  16. FWIW, when I saw the line (Minnesota by 5.5) I thought that was a joke. I know we've been bad on the road, but Minnesota simply doesn't tend to run away from anybody in the Big Ten.....and 12-12 teams shouldn't be 5 1/2 point favorites to 16-9 teams.
  17. And only 6 spots below 12-13 Minnesota, LOL.
  18. My thing with the 'f you' (I'll defer to everyone here who said that's what he said, my lip reading isn't good) was that it seemed to me like he was smiling when he said it...that it wasn't said in anger. Don't think Justin gets much slack (I know I don't give him much) because of things we've seen and heard previously.
  19. I'm sure somehow our win tonight will bump Purdue up to a 7 seed.
  20. So 15 games into conference, we are 7-8.....with 7 of the games being at home and 8 on the road. 2 road wins, 2 home losses.
  21. TJD 27 and 15......being defended a lot by Oturu.
  22. Minnesota got up 23-13. After that: IU 55-33.
