  1. Indiana. But I’m not sure why we switched from Indiana/Maryland to Indiana/NC State.
  2. Maryland rebuilt their roster just like IU did. IU’s class is ranked 9th, Maryland’s is 16th. You seem strangely attracted to the thought that unless a player came from a P5 they aren’t any good.
  3. Sorry, but this is a strange reaction to Maryland picking up passmore. Dude was horrible at Kansas last year in the time he was on the floor.
  4. He pulls the same act in his posts at ITH.
  5. Chrisdaplant and Ken enright both posting the dog in the car gif. Don’t know if they are talking about Leal or Goode.
  6. NCAA is sooooooo slow on the waiver process.
  7. If you can point out a 16.6 point, 7 rebound 7'1" power 5 level center that is still available, I'm all ears.
  8. So IU releasing the Bison news after six months.....probably still faster than the NCAA will be at deciding Goode and Leal's status.
  9. Rabby doesn't exactly get inside information to feel.
  10. Hawthorn -- 6'8" SF. Ranked 101st in class of 25. Since decommitting from West Virginia he has visited Kentucky, Virginia Tech, West Virginia again, Pittsburgh, and Duke. Unclear which schools offered a scholly but it is known that Va Tech did.
  11. Bailey, Reed 6'11" Alexis, Sam 6'8" Harris, Josh 6'8" Sisley, Trent 6'7" DeVries, Trent 6'7" Dorn, Nick 6'7" (pending) Goode, Luke 6'7" Miles, Jasai 6'6" Wilkerson, Lamar 6'5" (pending) Leal, Anthony 6'5" Conerway, Tayton 6'3" Enright, Conor 6'2" Drake, Jason 6'2" Concerns: lack of interior depth. Overall, though, it's not a team that lacks size from 1 to 5. Average height: 6'6". Last year's roster: Ballo 7'0" James (I guess) 7'0" Hatton 6'10" Reneau 6'9" Mgbako 6'8" Tucker 6'7" Goode 6'7" Galloway 6'5" Leal 6'5" Rice 6'3" Newton 6'3" Carlyle 6'3" Cupps' 6'2" Average height: 6'6.6". If you take out James, Newton, and Cupps (since they didn't really play), it's 6'6.8"
  12. Might be worth noting that last year under DeVries, West Virginia players over 6'8" averaged a total of 17 minutes per game. The roster at IU heightwise mirrors it pretty well. West Virginia's rotation: 6'3" 36 mpg 6'7" 35 mpg (only 8 games -- Tucker DeVries) 6'6" 30 mpg 6'8" 29 mpg 6'4" 27 mpg 6'8" 24 mpg 6'0" 19 mpg 6'11" 17 mpg 6'0" 13 mpg Average height of those rotational players/minute is 6' 5.4"
  13. My expectation is Goode will get another season but Leal will not.
  14. IU showing interest in Anakin Skywalker (Death Star State). Not the big we wanted and has been know to Force shots.
  15. Would think Iowa didn't like the ruling against D2......half the players followed their coach from D2 to Drake to Iowa.
  16. NCAA siding with caution right now as there is a current case going through the courts on it. JUCO's I believe are not eligible for NIL while D2 are, I believe is the difference but not sure.
  17. Guess I don’t get the fascination. With where we rank in NIL. Doesn’t change how I root for them as a fan.
  18. FWIW, he had a DeVries (West Virginia) offer.
  19. Anyone suggesting box and one for an extended, schemed strategy isn't a serious basketball fan.
  20. I don't know that Goode will absolutely get his, just my gut says he will.
  21. By the same token he also wasn't out there to avoid scoring. I like what he did and feel his minutes were deserved but there were times when his not even looking at the basket hurt.
  22. You said that Goode didn't translate in terms of W's and L's. Fact was that without him the team would have had a worse record. I wouldn't say that a team missing the tournament is automatically devoid of leadership. Might not have enough leadership but that doesn't mean void.
  23. I'm fine if he's there, fine if he's not. Much prefer Goode, though. My gut says that Goode is going to get his waiver and Leal isn't FWIW. Leal's case just isn't as strong. Leal played games at the beginning of the year, middle of the year, and end of the year. Hard to say he was really 'hurt' for all the games he didn't play. Goode, on the other hand, had his games after he recovered. Another item on Goode: he played 8 regular season games, 1 BTT, and 1 in the NCAA tournament. I believe in figuring the 30% that the NCAA only counts regular season games. The issue at hand IMO isn't the 30% mark, it's the fact he played the games in the second half and there has already been one ruling that would seem to favor him.
