  1. USA Today projection prior to IU’s game with Purdue has IU moving to 9 in thd cfp rankings and Mismi falling to 10. That’s what I would project as well. Thst would mean the final spot would be Miami’s unless Clemson wins the ACC championship in which case Clemson would be in and Miami out
  2. The bye was based on them winning the ACC. They were #6 in the CFP but top 4 conference champions automatically get seeded 1-4. Right now Boise State would get a bye. If IU plays like this the second half I can’t envision Miami staying ahead of them in the CFP.
  3. Spots can be lost because of the auto bids.
  4. Still think IU needs to play well in order to avoid BCS chicanery. Don’t want them doing something stupid like not moving Miami behind IU if they lose which could let Clemson steal a spot by winning the ACC championship.
  5. I never understood why tripping is a penalty.
  6. It honestly should be tied -- Syracuse had a touchdown pass on their first drive that was taken off the board by a bad, late call.
  7. LOL at the spot in the ND/USC game being EXACTLY to the inch what Notre Dame needed.
  8. Syracuse back in the game. Miami 21, Syracuse 14.
  9. ND going real conservative and settling for 3 deep in USC territory.....and he missed it, LOL
  10. I wouldn't go that far nor do I want to test the theory.
  11. Yep. First tiebreaker is head to head. Second is record against common conference opponents. Since we lost to the same team, it goes to opponent winning percentage in conference.
  12. USC ties it up against Notre Dame.
  13. I know that the committee loves sound bytes -- like when they said 'IU's SOS is 106' (but didn't mention it next week when it was up to 51). If MIchigan lost, then they would be saying 'IU didn't beat anybody that finished the season with a winning record'.
  14. IMO what the current CFP rankings are after the early games. 1. Oregon 2. Texas 3. Penn State 4. Notre Dame 5. Ohio State 6. Miami 7. Georgia 8. Tennessee 9. SMU 10. Indiana 11. Boise State 12. Alabama 13. Ole MIss 14. South Carolina 15. Clemson There might be a little shuffling of 12-14.....but I think South Carolina and Alabama's ceiling is #12 unless SMU, Indiana, or Boise State lose. And a Boise State loss wouldn't help them because someone is getting in as a conference champion from the MWC or elsewhere for that spot. IF that was the ranking, it would be 1. Oregon, 2. Texas, 3. Miami, 4. Boise State, 5. Penn State, 6. Notre Dame, 7. Ohio State, 8. Georgia, 9. Tennessee, 10. SMU, 11. Indiana, 12. Big 12 champion.
  15. A loss to Oregon in the Big Ten championship will not force us out of the CFP if we were already in prior to the game. It could change seeding, but not being in or not. The Clemson loss IMO was big because it guaranteed that IMO that it will not be possible for IU to be behind three ACC schools.
  16. As of now, there hasn't been any team we jump in front of. Clemson was behind us. It's just that the team ranked closest to IU lost, which is good. Ole Miss didn't look good, so they aren't jumping us from 14. South Carolina IMO didn't play well enough to warrant jumping from 15 to 10 and ahead of IU. Take care of business with Purdue, just keep it out of being a close game plus have Texas beat A&M (or Georgia should A&M beat Texas) and IU is in.
  17. Ohio State is in fourth place in the Big Ten. Indiana is tied for second.
  18. Syracuse scores and has there special teams in for the extra points, they go back and throw a flag to take the touchdown off the board for 'illlegal formation', ESPN rules analyst says it was a bogus call.
  19. SMU scores first against California, 7-0
  20. Long kickoff return by PSU....but literally two guys holding the Maryland player at midfield.
  21. Will Howard....all you do is lose to Michigan. Google that.
  22. My opinion would be no unless we lost or just edged out a win. They have three losses but more importantly IMO, they didn't play any of the top 3 in the SEC. I don't know the argument for putting them over Ole Miss -- OM beat them 27-3 in a game that was 24-3 at half. I think South Carolina not only needed to beat Clemson, but it had to be a dominant one and even then still probably needed help. I get two win teams in the SEC getting in over IU, but a three loss team that doesn't have a win over any team in the CFP I simply don't see.
  23. I don't mind him doing that, he was going for the win and SC was reeling on defense. The throw was there as well, receiver just tipped it away.
  24. He said what happened.
