  Thats not what hes saying though.  Hes saying that just making the tournament is acceptable for this group.  Thats ridiculous with our talent.  Making the tournament with this much talent should be a foregone conclusion. 

Back when the plan was to build a new basketball arena, I always though thats what they should have done with Assembly hall.  Even so far as using virtual reality to let you "watch" important games that took place there. 

  Having a chance to win one shouldn't be the metric to keep a guy as your head coach. 

  Why?  At Indiana making the tourney shouldn't be enough.  Hes got tons of talent right now.  Next year if anything is going to be a less capable team, because we lose Yogi.

Without a doubt would have wanted to be at the game to see Watford hit the 3 to beat Kentucky.    I'd also have liked to have seen when Hulls came to assembly hall during his recruitment by Crean.    Most of all I think I would have liked to have been on the bench during the Michigan Game when Zeller decided he wanted to win the Big Ten.    And of course the Cliche, I want to see a Tournament win.  I want to see Banner #6 raised. 

Different team?

  Depends where he would be playing.  Izzo would have eliminated bad Troy a long time ago. 

People are citing the talent we will have next year as a reason why to keep Crean.  If anything its a reason we should ditch him  We will lose some people but we will hold onto some of them.  And I very seriously doubt Troy is going to want to transfer and wait out a year, same with JBJ.  And if Bryant doesn't declare he isn't going to want to leave and set out a year.    That would be a dangerous core for a new coach to start with. 

  Yeah but more often game like this are just true colors of a team being revealed.  Thats what people are getting worried about. 

  Fine the Big Ten was great that year.  Dude has still finished in the bottom 5 more than the top 5.  And dead last more than in first. 

  Its one thing to lose to a team not as good.  Its another thing to lose or almost lose to team almost 200 spots below you in Kenpom at home.  Thats worrisome, that raises red flags. 

  We hear this every year though.  Players have changed but the results haven't

  Its every year though.  Hes made 1 final four not even here.  Hes never won a tournament of any kind here.

And whether or not the Big Ten was strong that year, Crean still underperformed.  Oh we won our conference an Elite Eight would have been nice. 

Maybe weak was a bad word.  We won the Big Ten outright with 4 losses.  Not exactly another dominant team to compete with. 

  They won a weak Big Ten then crashed and burned in 2 tourneys. 

  So 4 straight years of under performing isn't enough.  The 5th year will be the year that does it?
