I really don't think we'll be losing as much as we thought going into this season. Of OG, Blackmon, and Bryant, I would bet that we only lose one if any at all so we should be even better next year IMO and with a lot more experience. As for Freddie there is no way he should be playing high major D1 college basketball. He's an athlete and that's all. He has very minimal basketball iq and his skill set is very limited. If he didn't have a 40 inch vertical he wouldn't even be playing D2 ball in all honesty. He's a HUGE project that won't have any time at all to develop....whoever said that he was a panic recruit was spot on. Will never understand it.

On the bright side NOBODY on this team will be leaving early for the draft after this year and we should be loaded next year. OG may have the opportunity because of his athleticism but I don't think he's confident enough or is in any hurry to turn pro as his family is already loaded

Not sure why everyone is going overboard here....Butler is not a bad basketball team at all. They're gonna be top 15 next week and I honestly won't be surprised if they win the Big East. Yeah we got out coached but we fought back and gave ourselves a chance after digging too deep of a hole. We're not going to win every game...nobody is for that matter but we have played good basketball the first 2 months and have huge wins over UNC, Kansas, and IMO we'll have another big win vs Louisville. At least wait until halfway through big ten season to start freaking out. This team is still young and still gelling. These games will go along way in helping us later in the season so let's just all chill out and at least get to big ten season before we go off the deep end

We'll be ok...dug ourselves in too deep before we started playing similar to Fort Wayne. We'll bounce back with a couple of cupcakes at home and Nebraska followed by a big win against Louisville...Mark my words

Too bad we don't have a coach that can make halftime adjustments...I called it after the Fort Wayne loss we'd lose to Butler but still beat UNC and we will beat Louisville by double digits as well. We just can't compete with high iq teams who slow it down and play half court basketball. We're still gonna be ok and have a chance to compete with Purdue for the B1G I think tho

Nope...we've historically shot poorly in Indy which is why I thought coming in we'd have a small shot of winning this game. Gonna be a tough climb back up this hill. Get down by double digits at the half and we're pretty much done. Butler doesn't make mistakes

Hate to say it but won't surprise me one bit if Purdue wins the B1G. Good shooting, play smart ball and limit turnovers, solid defense (usually), and Painter knows how to make adjustments unlike some coaches...

I think I had that worded wrong I wasn't saying they were all Indiana kids but have Indiana kids on their roster and like you guys had mentioned those kids ALWAYS get up to play Indiana it seems. Butler fans will show out for that game as usual and we never seem to shoot well in Indy. I know we play Louisville in Indy as well but we don't have to play perfect to beat them as they aren't that intimidating to me. They seem to shoot a lot of bad shots and don't have much of an offense. If Purdue was smart and decided to go to Swanigan early in that game (only 1 shot in first half)...Purdue wins in Louisville easy.

I'd say those are 3 good wins...a true road win at Utah is solid and beating Arizona on a neutral court is good. Vandy is down but Northwestern win is a great win as I think this'll be the year Northwestern finally goes dancing. They're gonna be a tough out in Evanston this year imo. So yes....they've played good teams AND BEAT good teams. Any time you're playing a team of Indiana kids (especially Butler) , it's always gonna be a tough game....and if you don't think so you're probably not from Indiana or know very little about basketball.

I actually won't be surprised if Butler beats us. They're a well coached team who doesn't make many mistakes and plays smart basketball aka true Indiana basketball. They always seem to get up for us just like most Indiana schools as a lot of players wanna show Indiana what they're missing out on. I called it before the Ft Wayne game we'd lose to Fort Wayne and Butler but beat UNC, Kansas, and Louisville. Hope I'm wrong but I just have a bad feeling about that game especially without OG or a banged up OG. Gonna have to play perfect basketball versus Butler to win that and we're still very young so I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Tune into FSN Midwest to watch 2 IU transfers go against each other in Emmit Holt (Providence) and Stan Robinson (Rhode Island). Holt looking like he's beefed up a bit...very solid player for Providence. Always had liked him and thought he could've been a great player and major contributor at IU.
