There is merit to this. However, it's getting "W's" that count. Woodson can't be doing things like keeping/playing guys solely out of loyalty or refusing transfers that would benefit the program (rumored).

All true. My only minor quibble is that we should expect this season to be good, we never should have expected anything close to a NC. Now with two injured starters, I'm not sure what our expectations should be.

It's frustrating that RT seemed not as focused recently but then comes out fighting last night and promptly gets injured. It's like groundhog day sometimes...

I thibk some of it is a carry over from the NBA, specifically player substitution patterns. NBA seasons and games are much longer and coaches need to keep players fresh. IMO, it's frustrating that our starters seem to need shorter stints than our opponents (my perception).

I said nothing about Murray. Race was playing hard going to the glass and looking for TJD. No one did that after he was injured.

THAT is key. He was also going after rebounds hard before being tackled. Nobody grabbed the wheel and took over in his absence.

1. Losing Race will be huge. We don't have anyone that can bring close to what he does. His loss last night had a definite impact. 2. We handled the zone poorly. His 3-pt % is of little importance if he's not shooting. No one else is reliable from outside. 3. I really didn't like the play to have JHS drive to the bucket with 16 seconds to go, probably mostly because he couldn't convert but also it gives iowa another shot. 4. Finally, fran mccafferty is an asshoe. Plain and simple. Any other coach would kicked out of the game for the asinine behavior he repeatedly engages in. That BS at midcourt illustrates that AND what a clownshow B10 officiating is.

You're correct. I admit to being often frustrated with his shooting - not inaccuracy but low 3-pt shot attempts. He's shooting a really good % but sometimes finishes with statlines like last night. He's our 1 shooter and sometimes has a minimal point contribution. But, as you describe, he brings solid all-around play at both ends night in and night out - probably our most consistent player.

What's bad is that it seems normal, having watched us do exactly the same thing year after year.

I *think* I've seen something about once a complaint is lodged and an arrest is made, the charges stick (perhaps to prevent coersion?). I might have seen it on "COPs" or another similar show, so don't take this as definitive.
