So in your opinion the amount of money Michigan spent on their roster was about the same as IU? If that is your opinion then in this situation for this last year I disagree with you. I think Michigan spent way more on their roster than IU did this year. Will it be closer next year’s and the years to follow? I think so but this year Michigan opened the bank
Michigan had enough money to get a projected first rounder to come back to school for another year and enough money to steal a kid from a rival school where he would of been a starter and Underwood was mad as hell he lost. They are loaded. My guess is when they saw what they had in Dusty when they gave him a contract extension after 1 year he had assurances that they would be top a top spender and so far that’s exactly what they have done
Field of 68 polled coaches on the best job in the B1G and Michigan was first and one of the reasons was their massive NIL budget https://www.on3.com/sites/field-of-68/news/big-ten-basketball-job-rankings/
2 on the road and the other against the number 1 team. Won’t do anything to their metrics. KSU being 100 in the NET beating a team 46 in the NET will bump their numbers up and if they get to 75 then that KSU win becomes a Q2 win.
TCU lost and they are a bubble team, Virginia tech lost and will stay on the wrong side of the bubble, ucla lost so they don’t get a road win. Kansas st is winning against Baylor for now which would improve their NET which will improves IU’s numbers. Every night is going to have results that benefit and results that hurt. IU is in good position as long as they take care of business at home like they should
Because before the last 2 games they had 0 quality wins and had home losses to Cal and FSU which is a bad loss. Q3 loss at home will leave a mark especially when they didn’t have anything of substance. 10 Q4 wins as well. Massive road win at NC State and the home win against NC helped but they still need to finish with some more quality wins
Loaded Tuesday slate as usually. B1G has some massive games tonight. Purdue/Michigan headline however Wisky/Ohio State is huge for both. Wisky can move up the seed line and Ohio st needs a home win to stay around the bubble. Nebraska/Iowa Iowa needs a win against the top of the bracket team and no better chance than at home. Nebraska looking to improve its seed.
other bubble teams in other conferences have big games tonight as well. TCU at UCF and Georgia at Kentucky
Iowa St up 3 at half. This game is awesome. High level. High level games all week. Reminder on Saturday the top 4 ranked teams play each other. Arizona/Houston and Duke/Michigan
Reminder IU results don’t happen in a vacuum. Other teams around IU are going to move up or move down just like IU will. If they don’t find the wins in the regular season then they will still have the conference tourney to improve on the resume
