    Despite the outcome tonight this has been a special season for IUWBB and no reason to think that next year won't be special as well.

    Greg Murray who does the radio play-by-play on WHCC radio became a father within the last 7-10 days. Logan is ready to cheer the Hoosiers to victory.

    While we're killing time waiting for our Hoosiers to play, the women's transfer portal is now over 650. Mildly interesting to me that neither Danielle Patterson nor Jaelynn Penn have entered the portal after opting out of the season earlier in the year. Maybe just waiting for the IU season to officially end to announce or still a possibility they return next year.

    Would he stay within the parameters of what he was hired to do? Honestly, I'd be concerned with him trying to worm/weasel his way into a larger role and then do we start running afoul of the NCAA if he oversteps? I'm definitely against this idea.

    Broke the 1,000 barrier today. Nearly 22% of D-1 players. If all of our portal players leave, which I'm confident won't happen, I think Woody will still be able to field a team without scrounging the Bloomington city parks and yelling at some kid wearing flip flops "hey kid, wanna wear candystripes this winter?"

    Jon Blau -- I don't know if this has been noted yet on this site, but Bob Knight had his introductory press conference as IU's coach on March 29, 1971. Mike Woodson's introduction (albiet, via Zoom) came on March 29, 2021. Exactly 50 years later, to the day. Let's hope Woody has the same kind of success.

    Interesting tweet from Jarrad Odle Coach Woodson made a great point. Don’t think transfers out are a bad thing. Some of these players are used to doing half the work and he will expect all the work. There were hidden non buy in guys all over this team. Cant win championships with selfishness.

    He said the right things publicly about keeping the roster intact but privately, he may feel that if 1 or 2 leave he's perfectly OK with that especially with a Las Vegas buffet of players in the portal to go after -- nearing 1,000 I believe.

    Some people simply aren't comfortable in public speaking so catching him 1 on 1 with Dakich at noon might show a completely different person.

    I really don't like to say this, but I'd have concerns Dan Dakich's pipeline to IU basketball might be uncomfortably close if his son was on staff.
