I think southern Indiana has the best small school basketball in the state (2A and below) and it’s probably not close. I don’t remember playing Borden but see their name pop up time to time especially in the last couple years.

Hard to get past Barr-Reeve (02 grad) and Loogootee in southern Indiana. I’m glad Orleans was able to win it all. They are a good program in a hard sectional.

Originally wanted McCollum but the more I looked into Devries the more I like the hire. I think he can win here and put together teams who compete. It’s been too long since I can remember IU having a team who could compete with anyone. Far too many 20 point losses over the last 8 years. Indiana is fundamental hard nosed basketball and I think Devries will bring that back.

Mike Woodson winning out and taking this team to a final four would be the most Mike Woodson thing to do. Nobody puts Mike Woodson in a corner. lol

Makes perfect sense to not use the lineup that kept you in the game and almost won it at Purdue. Instead go back to a lineup that clearly doesn’t work. Good grief.

Seems like the players coached themselves most of the game. In the huddle, together during dead ball pauses. Leal did an excellent job keeping everyone together. They played hard and deserved the win. The lack of coaching at crucial times absolutely caused the loss this time and that is a clear fact. I simply can not wait for the Woodson era to close quickly.

And that last play is absolutely BS. Forced shot by Rice when we had a good thing going with Galloway. Rice did get fouled but it was a forced shot in hostile territory.

Play this lineup as much as humanly possible the rest of the year.

Painter recognizing Mack is switching on smith and has went to it 2 possessions in a row. One for a layup and one for a foul. What I wouldn’t give for an IU coach who makes adjustments and sets the players up with winning matchups.

Getting man handled by an Iowa team that isn’t currently projected to make the tournament. Classic Woodson. Surely this is the last year of this.

Galloway is a 5th year senior and turns his back on the hottest shooter on the court.

11 quad 1 games in a row and Iowa is the lowest in the NET of all of them. Could be 11 straight losses if this is the type of performance we get.

This Miami team plays like what I want an Indiana team to play like.

We could get the best players available in the transfer portal and it still wouldn’t matter because it’s still the same coaching staff. Nothing changing there
